ROADTOAD's new ride

Single is a big part of the equation...no kids to support and no wife hanging over his head ready to hit him with a rolling pin.....

But yes, deep pockets is important......this guy at least has that going for him....

Especially if it's running a stock wheelbase.....

The electronics will be working overtime for sure...
You can adjust the traction control , turn it all off too if you like . But you best be ready as you might imagine , cause it comes on pretty hard fast , and will wheelspin and wheelie from mid rpm and all speeds .

Got the 2015 H2 out for a bit of a test , just setting up rearsets and am aiming to get a few more rides in while I wait for last of the new parts to arrive .

RoadT, are they the battleaxe hypersports?
They are the RS11 bro , so Bridgestone 's top street tire , but not the racier R11 . The H2 come equipped with these RS11 stock , but I always ran them on both the ex Busa and the ZX14R .
I got Michelin Powercup 2 ready to go on the new wheels for this H2 , just to try them out . I have a new set of RS11 on the 2023 H2 , because I do really like the Bridgestones .
We are spoiled for tire choice nowadays , I got SC1 Pirelli's on the Superduke , and they are probably the best I have on any of the bikes , also cost the most .

I am impressed with the Rotobox wheels , they are actually stronger and lighter than the BST set . I haven't fully decided which H2 will use them . They will go on the 2015 as soon as I get the tires fitted for now though .

Once the newer H2's tune is sorted out; will there be any main differences between the two bikes?(other than aftermarket parts)

Not a lot of difference between the two bikes , if the power attained is similar with the 2023 H2 tune at this point .
But this is just a base tune for exhaust and derestrict on both bikes respectively . So , just freed up / removed the restricted fueling the Euro 4 in 2015 H2 and Euro 5+ in 2023 H2 .
Now the next stage is to try to make more power , and maintain reliablility , so both bike will need that billet plenum intercooler , and H2R camshafts . The 2015 has the turbosmart blow off valve fitted , the 2023 H2 will get one fitted with the update base tune shortly .
I will most likely try them out for awhile with that setup , the stock factory boost is 17psi (I think ) , so not low . Then the next step would be the supercharger gears , I got a set of stage 2 gears , maybe one will get that set to test .
Both H2 have clutch springs already and use Brembo masters on brake / clutch . The 2015 and 2023 have GP4-MS calipers ( not fitted on 2015 yet ) and the rear P2 Billet . I just ordered 1 set of Sicom rotors for one of the H2 , will decide later which one gets that set . Both will share the full Ohlins suspension , and I am going through both bikes with ti bolts and aluminum . The 2015 H2 is simpler electrics wise , the quick shifter is upshift gears only , the 2023 is a blipper shift . The dash is similar rev counter clock , but the 2023 has the tft panel over the lcd for 2015 .
Right now I am just putting the mods on them , and deciding as I go , I just like putting my bikes together , crossing the t 's and dotting the i's sort of deal , I sort of got a plan , it is to build them special .

Hi
My new busa would love a set of them. Also some Batinger brakes.
They are crazy looking wheels , I remember when I first saw them bro , outrages was my first thought , the spokes side on look so thin .
Your Supercharged Busa deserves such a set , really happy you scored that bike , you are a serious motorcycling dude Mike , and I like and respect that a lot .

....and all the while we get to live vicariously through you.......

I admit that I'm 'el cheapo" when it comes to such things so it is nice to see someone who puts the time, effort and of course the money to see their dreams through....

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a former colleague who is a self made multi millionaire and most of his "friends" abandoned him as I believe they were jealous of him....

I personally enjoy his eccentricities.....he's one of those guys that really could care less what people think about him and does his own thing....I like that....

I guess we all got to try to do what we can with what you been dealt in life . If you can add positively to that base , and live a relatively peaceful happy life , then that is a great thing , and good enough .

Always good advice to live by.....

When I was out searching for a Hayabusa, I already had 5 bikes in the garage so thought I'd get an inexpensive used one to see if I liked the riding position and overall feel for the bike....if I did, my intention was to then buy a new one and sell the used one as I only paid $5k for it and I could have sold it in the parking lot of the dealership for more than that while it was in the back of my truck, I had 2 offers before I even rode it myself.

Crazily enough I fell in love with the Bumblebee and although my wife has given me the green light several times to go buy a new Hayabusa including the gen 3......I never felt I had the need for a new one as this one is set up and runs so well.

Crazy how life throws the odd curve ball....

The Bumble Bee was a great score , the previous owner had tweaked it with the right subtle but effective mods to make it work just right . Sarge , you was the right guy for that bike , it delivered what you wanted , even more so to your surprise as you stated , there is no real need for updating unless you actually want another . The Busa is just a great , bullet proof bike , I think we all know just how good they are as a solid performing bike that does everything pretty much , pretty well .

......while I was thinking of eccentricities, I have a childhood friend who went on to be an aeronautical engineer designing aircraft engines....his wife is a partner in a huge law firm...

Years ago he started collecting Mustang Shelby Cobras....he had a huge storage garage built with individual bays for each year Cobra and in each bay he has all the period correct paraphernalia (jackets, hats, pamphlets, posters, etc).

In the garage he had a mezzanine platform made so he can look down on all the cars.....

The last two he bought, he actually went to the factory and helped build his cars....and the last one, he insisted it was never started, it was placed on rollers and shipped to his house with zero kms on it and put right into the bay.....and he kept all the plastic covers on the seats and interior....

However......he didn't drive a Cobra.....I said to him....why own all these Cobras and never experience what makes them unique? This was over 10 yrs ago now.....but at that time he ordered one, went to the factory, helped assemble it and then drove it out of the factory....he was allowed to take in on the Ford test track.....

I've sort of lost touch with him over the years as he lives 8 hrs away but we text once in a while...he said he loved driving his Cobra but still ordered the latest generation and never drove any of them.....he had to build onto his storage garage.

He has the most patient wife in the world and has two kids-a boy and daughter.........both drive Mustangs of course...

Amazing that there are collectors like that , that have really mostly mint vehicle collections . Sounds like an amazing setup .

The barn finds and rare stored classics of yesteryear are always cool to see...but to me a shame not drive something, at least occasionally.
To each their own, but I would rather ride or drive something, vs look at it sitting in a building...even though I have parked a bike or two in my living room at a few of places, lol
