Rubbah is currently not in his right mind, or his left mind for that matter! He's still in shock. Can we get him diagnosed as "Not mentally fit to make any major or financial decisions" for a few months? By that time he will be in a better frame of mind, and we'll have the Smurfcycle running again.
I can't do much financially right now, but I can turn a pretty mean wrench, and I have a garage to work in!
If the bike gets totalled we need to findout where they have it, so we can try to buy it back for Andy, bring it down to Everett, and get to work on it!
Okay Andy. I'm not trying to be bossy (my wife thinks I do it too well), but I really don't think you should make any rash decisions right now. Give it some time. You've been through a lot in a very short time. Being in a wreck is bag enough. Not having the House Mouse with you right now is really tough. I bet if you talk to her she'll also tell you to take some time to think about it.
Whatever you decide to do, we're there for ya! This isn't a community, it's a family! We don't want you go it alone!

and didn't we have a discussion about how the wife LOVES the bike riding?? Come on bud......Please dont do something rash OK? And do you really think anyone is going to take your gear here? Hah!! More than likely you'd find a new bike in the driveway if you tried and pulled something like that! We can't lose our site Bastid!! ;-) sucks when people care about big ol' rub huh??

So sorry to hear about your misfortune. The blessing is you're alive and still in one piece. Heal fast and heal well. Consider yourself lucky. Just to share with you a recent accident here in Toronto, a bike organization was on a group ride and in staggered formation. A pea-brain driver decided to overtake the group not realizing that there was an on-coming truck and on collision course with his car. Driver swerved to the opposite shoulder, lost control and t-boned a rider and his passenger who were in the middle of the group. Rider lost a limb above knee and passenger lost a foot. They do, however, have a very supportive group (much like what we have here), who will help them weather the storm.
I don't have bike parts to send you but I can surely send you some Sleeman beers, brewed in Ontario (Guelph) no less. You like? You like?

Hey Andy, really nice to know that the insurence company gave you a good nurse/home worker. Lets hope that your smurfcycle is not a write off... You can be sure that I'll try my best to convince you not to give up riding
