Santa Clara Riders,was that you?

Is the oil change demo ok for you guys?Have you done your own oil change? Any feed back welcome. The reason I ask is because if you guys have done the oil change than I would be wasting my time on the demo and we can move on to other items of interest, like RADAR DETECTOR MOUNTING,security issues or what ever.Could go for a short ride to RoadRider or visit other shops in the area.

Cisco
I emailed you privately I'll be there on the 10th. I do my own oil changes now but I would be interested in what you think is the best way to get that filter off. I bought one of those wrenches from Kragen but it doesn't work so good.

Steve

I'll be there, Oil change works for me since I'm still breaking in my sled, havn't had first service yet! I have a Bel Radar detector too, not sure how to mount!

See ya next weekend 6/10/00

Of the guys planning to attend the get- together on the 10th, do any of you have either of the ZG wind screens? I'm thinking of buying one and I haven't decided which to get.

Just show up and we will start at 10am sharp with the oil change demo than after that we can have a open forum and talk about other topics of interest.Should be fun and see you all there.Ride safe,CHP hangs out on HWY237 off ramp from Hwy 880 at times, weekend should be dead for cops.Ride safe everyone

P.S. Do you guys recommend changing your oil before the first 600 mi check-up?

Just a note to you local guys...
I recommend you stay far away from Fairfield Cycle Center. They're crooks & rude to boot. Not sure if any of you have had similar experiences with them, but I have 2 friends who have sworn off their business and since my bad experience have heard of a few more who have felt slimy after walking out of their shop. Just a friendly note.

Pwr+,
We were treated like dirt when the sales guy thought he was going to "lose his sale". I just wanted a day to think about it and he treated me and my wife like we just called his mother a whore.
He played the bargaining game with us for almost an hour, making us wait each time for 10 minutes while he "talked with his manager".
One of my friends, who races bikes, was taunted by the same salesman. The salesman was trying to sell him a '00 'Busa by saying, "what, is it too much bike for ya?" and things like that. My friend told the salesman that he'd wiped out on bikes going faster than the salesman probably ever did upright and the salesman was not only stupified, but got even more rude!
I know one guy who's had probs with sales, parts, & service, but he didn't give me details. Just said they were "crooks".
They suck!

Flemfield Cycle Center? I did my oil change myself but I took it to them for the throttle valve sync recommended in the first service. I didn't buy from them 'cause the deal they offered wasn't even close to being the lowest. I haven't had any bad expereinces with the service department yet but I've just started doing business with them. What happened with your bike King?

Cisco,

I'll be there, and I'm definitely interested in the filter tool. If you can, grab one for me and I'll bring the cash with me Sat. If not, I'll grab one when we get to Road Rider...btw, I have a friend who is one of the managers at Cycle Gear....he said we could shop at Road Rider but that we should buy at Cycle Gear :)

I won't be able to make it this Sat guys. :( My son won their playoff baseball game last night and he now has a game this Saturday. Have fun and take some pics!

OK,Gals/Guys I just made a short list of items that I have bought for the Hayabusa and I put it on a Excel spreed sheet and kinda broke it down on store I bought it from, part number, cost of the item and other facts.I will make copies of this sheet and also other nice to know stuff, but I need to know who's going to show up to make the right amount of copies.I also called around the different motorcycle shops in the area to find out the cost and if they have the oil filter removal tool and there are 5 of those that I found that are made by Tucker Rocky Nemco and the cost is around $7.95 ea plus tax and if any one wants one I can go pick them up tonight.Either post on this posting if you want one of those oil filter removal tool. The average price for the oil removal tool around the Santa Clara area is $11-12 range. The tool has a connection for extentions for ratchet tool which is a nice feature to have.Anyways see you this weekend.E-mail me at CiscoJ@aol.com if you want the oil filter tool,I will buy one of the Tucker Rocky unit and will show it at the demo that way you can decide if you want to get one and we can ride to the shop that has it.
Looks like a total of 6 people interested in the demo so maybe best bet is that I buy one and if you like the quality we can ride to the MC store after the demo and get the tool.
