Scraping The Brake Lever with 2CT's

So glad to hear this. Got a set to go on my bike for the rebuild. I think old crappy tires were a huge part in my crash.

wouldn't a 180 tire be better , 190 is stock size? and I would raise the rear for sure.

TE=EarlyBird;2880695]Don a few other things to help get you off the hard deck without rubbing hard parts off too. Go to a 190/55 rear tire. Also raise the rear 1" with a set of dogbones this will help with ground clearance. Get suspension sag base lined too. Balance suspension for your body weight. To soft and you can bottome it out on the suspension when leaned over.... Loose traction and then the bike that way!

Yes your body position also will help keep from using excessive lean angle to arch most corners! Since you brought it up.... If your gear is keeping you from getting into proper position. Sell it and get boots, gloves, helmet, etc so you can move around better on the bike. A pair of gloves can make or break you if they dont fit right! Trust me I know! Take it all in and ask away! We are here to help you![/QUOTE]

Thanks for all the advice.
Track days are out of the question. I know how I am and if I do a track day I will want to get involved in it at a competitive level, part of my type a personality. I have a hard time in sports accepting half way meaning street bike / track bike. Been there and done that with motorcycle drag racing. Started out riding to the track and riding home. After a few times I found myself building a drag bike, buying an enclosed trailer and then being involved collecting W-2's at the end of the year.
I enjoy street riding and part of it is the excitement, whats around the next turn, whats over the next hill, hitting that small patch of gravel, etc.
Just figured I would try different a different body postion and see how it feels and reacts to my riding conditions.
As far as the getting the ankle bent to the extreme of how some are capable of doing it, I dont think I am physically capable of bending my ankle to where the ball of my foot is on the peg and my heel is up into the chain gaurd as my knee is outward with the Sidi Vertebra boots they are flexible and comfortable while riding just my size 14 foot is a little different then most pro riders size 7 or 8. plus my legs are long with an inseam of 37"
