What brake levers do you run?

yes i know - you are lucky guys in U.S. - there is no such a terrible technical overwatch like we have it here in germany (kind of "Big Brother" is watching).

but i only wanted to show by this police´s argument how dangerous the chinese levers might be.

i personally take it with the words of a good friend:
let´s save money whatever it may cost (here your live, when the brake lever breaks)
or what my grandma allways said :
the better one is the good one´s enemy/opponent

There must be millions of those "Chinese" levers sold and I have yet to read about them failing. Always nice to have a government so willing to save the population from themselves....

Europe has a whole bunch of odd little nuances...I have a good friend living in Bordeaux France who moved there from the UK, he wasn't able to use the exhaust he had on the bike ('84 Katana) in the UK and was forced to buy an EU certified system...(good for me as I got his UK exhaust real cheap).

I know of several people (my brother included) who bought those Chinese levers and had major issues with them. My brother called me bragging how he only paid $30 for a set..i warned him about them....2 days later he called to let me know the brake lever snapped in half when he used to make a sudden stop....

Buddy of mine bought some MSV? brand levers for his R1. They worked fine and as far as I know they are still functional. Haven't talked to him since he moved to Florida.

I'm a fan of buy once, cry once. My ASV levers have been flawless and with an occasional lubrication once of twice a year, I don't see any issues for years to come.

Thats because Berlin is living in a N@zi State...damb,did I say that outloud.

Pulled over by the popo he said fines on my chopper totalled 850.oo bucks. Let go with a warning.
Pulled over for speeding and then bald tire. Let go,warning.
Pulled over on another chopper,had ape hanger bars on it,given a week to fix,took it home put stock bars on it,took back to cop shop,he said good to go,whent home put apes back on.
Pulled again, wheelie thru intersection,no insurance...yup...warning.
Pulled again,speeding,told him bike was over heating,in a hurry to get her home,warning sent on my way.
Pulled again,speeding,wreckless driving,non visible tag(good citezins phoned in) he admired the Busa,told me to fix the plate,no paperwork,yup...warning.
Pulled years ago,speeding,no licence, warning.
Pulled,huge excesive speeding,told me he didn't care about me,but don't risk the life of the dollie I had on the back. Warning.
Pulled on Harley,speeding,pipes to loud...once again...warning.
Could go on and on...
There's a theme here,maybe just be cool and talk nice...works 99% of the time for me.I love cops(especially the women, sexy as hell),firemen,ambulance folks....they have helped me many a time.

I love this place I call home.

I dunno what kinda bull poop black magic cologne you're usin, maybe you just got one of those pretty faces that the cops find trustworthy. but when i get stopped... it's "step out of the vehicle" and "TURN OFF THE BIKE AND REMOVE YOUR HELMET NOW WITH YOUR HANDS UP AND SHOW ME ID" with their hand on their gun...
i've been stopped for 3mph over in a 45 mph country road and ticketed...

Gotta be smooth as butter,sweet as candy...in other words, baffle them with bullshid. What other choice is there? You can never win.If it gets ugly,you end up on the ground with 5 of their associates standing over you.
I never understand why people fight with the police.
Its a "no win." So I've always attempted to not get put in cuffs.That's where the battle is won,out there in the street.If its goes to the next level,Joe Citizen ALWAYS loses. Bummer,but fact.
