SCREWED by eBay seller...

Was the packaging damaged when you received it?

Post up some pics. You may be ablle to make a patch pannel and weld it on for only a few dollars.

Sorry for the delayed response here. Big week... I took everyone's advice and the seller refunded me 1/2 the money. I'll take it at this point.

But here is a pic of the part. (If can post this properly...)

Stop buying the super cheap stuff. You'll come up empty handed and pissed off more often than not. Then you end up spending more to fix your discounted parts.

LOL - Lesson learned and good advice.

Back to a couple of discussions in this thread: IMO - any time someone ships an item, it should be insured. Otherwise, the seller is implying responsibility if something gets damaged during shipping. For $1.50, we would have been able to make a claim on the Post Office damage and got the full amount back. Not taking any responsibility is one thing but deciding to drop out of communication to work toward a solution, means the seller was running away from the issue.

Having to make a claim, compelled the seller and tells me that the seller isn't concerned about her integrity. A bit saddening actually - but at least I was able to get 1/2 back.

Hey - its something. I'm out $30 and have a real piece of crap undertail to look at... I think i'll shop around for a 'good' one.

Theres a nice unique undertail in the classifieds for sale. Check it out

If the missing piece of plastic was not somewhere in the packaging, then it is obvious that the seller packed it that way. I would not settle for half the money back, but it is better than nothing. Was the claim settled through eBay or PayPal? If you have not already accepted to close the case through eBay, then keep it going and get all your money back. Just my opinion - Erik

The packaging was ripped and damaged. I saw pics of it pre-shipping - it appears to have been all in one piece.

I settled through eBay.

such is the way of Ebay and sellers and buyers, its a gamble, i have had some great buys from there, and only one miss hap, fairing stay was not straight as reported, long story got my money back thru paypal, glad you got some sort of recourse, too bad you didnt get it all back...
