Service Bulletin - Hayabusa/B King

ok, old thread but finally one important information is still missing:
the factory install these studs without thread lock or with a non appropriate thread lock ? ( 1303)
have you guys found any traces of thread lock in disassembling while performing tsb?
(i can't decide: red or blue loctite.. i know that the 1303 equivalent is red loctite but i dont like the permanent result!
If the factory missed completelly the thread lock i will go with the blue-
If not the red is one-way road..)

Blue Loctite (242) is removable, red is high strength and is intended for stud locker. Standard Loctite does soften with temperatures 300 degrees or so, but if you have access to industrial Loctite there is a blue medium strength removable locker called 2422. More like toothpaste than the standard liquid, but works great and stays tough up to 250 deg C.

i did not see any evidence of thread lock on the studs so i applied the locktite red and blue for the clutch spring bolts.

Thanks guys!
My fear with red loctite is a possible future "accident" (at stud - bolt - threads ) during disassembling either from threadlock itself or the necessary excess heating or just bad luck!
I'll test the blue first...

Thanks for the info guys. Mine started slightly ticking about 800 miles ago. Now its embarassing loud when in nuetral. Will be doing this fix as soon as I get a new gasket.

I went to buy a new gasket before doing the work, so of course I talked to the service guy. Just so happened, a Suzuki service tech came to the front when I was asking about the service bulletin. of course they denied knowledge of the bulletin. The service tech blames non authorized work on the bike and the culprits not using the correct torque specs. I mentioned the use of loctite in the service bulletin and he said no loctite should be used at all, and there was no bulletin. I knew he was lying. I just got my gasket and got outta there.
Here is what the inside of the housing looked like. 5 out of 6 of my studs were backed out. You can see where they were hitting the inside of the engine cover. Glad shes all fixed now. Nothing like doing your own work.

I'm new to the group here and also a new 08 busa owner that has less then 4000 miles on it. First off I want to say thank you to all that posted this how to. I been fighting with ride now power sports about a noise that was coming from the clutch cover. And the sad thing is I have an extended warranty on this bike. Needless to say after countless hours of going back and forth to the dealership and them telling me that this clunking noise is normal for all busa's. I started to read on clutch noise and seen you guys posted a TSB about. Me being a automotive tech I'm handy with a wrench and wasn't scared to dig in. This fix really took me 10 mins at the most. 4 out of the 6 bolts that hold the springs down where finger loose. I didn't have any lock tight but I will grab some tomorrow at work. But just tightening the bolts to 8 foot lbs fixed my problems. The crazy part is i have a voodoo 4 to 1 exhaust and the noise was so loud you can hear it over the exhaust.

I just want to say thank you to everyone that made this post and I'm glad to be part of a group that has good information :)
