Single or dual exhaust which is better

I have searched the different discussionboards on internet and found out that the HMF dual low mount would be the best system for Hayabusa. HMF is known as the manufacturer with the most powerfull exhausts and a lot of dragracers have choosen for HMF
I don't know what board you got your info but in the USA, the HMF is not the exhaust of choice for DRAG.  I don't think I have ever seen a HMF at the track.

Your top exhaust systems FOR DRAG on a BUSA are going to be....

BDE GEN III, AKRO, Muzzy, Tsukigi, (Big Bore) TiForce & Big Bird, etc...

The HMF is know for having a little more mid range so it may be a hair better for the street but....for MAX power and racing it is going to have a smaller power curve than any of the above pipes...

Don't forget ALL results are going to be different on the dyno/track BASED ON THE TUNING. The pipe is only as good as the TUNE.

What's the diff between slip-ons and bolt-ons? Also, does a high mount interfere w/ two-up riding postion for the passenger? Looks like the pipe would be real close to their ankle.

HMF (the Bigbird single exhaust; very good in combination with highly modified engines, big bores etc..).
Okay....ya, the Big Bird HMF is awesome for Big Bore and heavily modded bikes but stock motor, they don't put out as much power as some of the others....

The duals are another animal and more mid-range on a stock motor bike...

Where is the best place to order exhaust from? I've decided to either go with the muzzy full single system,or the Hmf dual slipons.

This weekend I'm going to weigh my stock system to verify the weight difference.... I think the full Hindle BDE is in the neighbor hood of 8 lbs or less, it's unbelievably lite I thought the box was empty when I got it...

The Pashnit Busa has a HMF 4-in-1 carbon fiber low mount oval pipe. Look has really grown on me, although so much to choose from out there with pipes.

Someone mentioned how does it sound, here's some ride video that has some pretty good exhaust note, I've got a microphone that's wired into the bike & sits right atop the exhaust tip...

the most weight on the bike for aftermarket parts is .....me...lol...now if i was to loose like uhhhh 50 lbs...wow....but for my 2 cents...i like the look of the hmf high rise...and most of my rideing will be in that 2000-8000 range and last band more importantly the wife likes it better so ....there ya are

i have d&d full 4 into 1 on my 05 i love it. it is a little loud though.
