Sitting is not a sport!

You bought it, if you want to sit and pose on it do so, if you want to ride it like you stole it do so. What ever makes you happy.:cheerleader::banana:

Great! The first thread I see today, and it's Tuf giving me a rash of s*** for hanging off my couch for the last few months. And just when I was about to master dragging a knee on the low-shag. Maybe he saved me from a bad case of rug burn. Now we'll never know. THANKS Steven!!!!

I didn't read the whole thread, kinda got tired of it after the second page. I didn't find humor in it even knowing it was Tuff's attempt at sarcasm. The continual bashing of the Busa becuase is isn't a 600 posts are getting old. Tuff, I know you are an accomplished rider, but you need to learn to separate track riding from street riding. Try riding a 600 through 750 miles of twisties in less than 2 days, and you'll appreciate the Busa and its ability to handling in the real world away from the track.

I thought this is doubly funny because it's ripped from a Buell ad no less. Pretty sure Buell has yet to win any AMA titles.

Don't mean to bore or offend you or anyone else. I have never and will never poke scarcasm at the mighty busa. I have owned six of these puppies and have a beautiful 08 in the garage as we speak. Love this bike. I am also well aware of her limitations.

You may be surprised at how many lurkers cruise this site looking for information who may not even own a bike but are considering a purchase. We also have members who may be new owners who are not well schooled on their busa. It's only fair to the folks that aren't well schooled (Current owners as well) on the busa get a view of the oposite side of the coin.

What I point out is not scarcasm, it's just simple facts that is rarely mentioned by busa owners. I am well aware and so are you of the busa's limitations. My point being, the busa does everything well but does nothing great (Other than straight line speed). If you ride your busa like a couch, it's as sweet as they come and may very well be the best all around bike on the market today. Just don't expect more than she has to offer. There should be at least one voice on this site that is willing to make this point.

How many times have you heard busa owners say their stretched and slammed busa corners better now than it did stock? You and I both know that's a fairy tale but many who read such posts don't know the difference. If it's not me who's the critic on such threads, then who? :beerchug:

Well partly it's about knowing the poster, their style, their past posts, your knowledge of their expertise, etc. It just comes from being here and reading thousands of posts on hundreds of motorcycle subjects! No offense to you for being fairly new, all is cool! I have to go now, I'm going to the garage to practice hangin off in my pj's. Raydog

I'm not talking just about this one person, or this one post, but this seems to be happening more often around here (people that are new and take offense to what some of the reg.'s write) That's why I LOVE it here, everyone is so friendly, and truly care about one another, and this sport. What made me stick around here was because this seemed like the only sportbike forum that you could ask ANYTHING, and not get flamed, and someone with 2 posts is treated the same as someone with 1 million.

You truely have to be liked here to get ef'd with, or flamed

again.....not talking about this one person, or thread !!

Well it sounds to me that you read less than one page, otherwise you'd realize how out of character and misguided your post is at this point. ???

Nightflight, you are a man after my own heart!

You put a whole new meaning to riding a couch!

Funny! Funny! Funny!

Okay, Squidin' on the sofa didn't work out too well. I fell off this morning and dislocated my ego. I'm not letting that discourage me. I got right back on it and grabbed the remote for another run.

Excuse me. After the preaching in the "Lookie who made the highlights thread" and this one starting out obviously opposite of his known opinion, I took it as more of the same.

I dont see a problem with buying something , even if you want to stare at it in the garage,
sometimes its not about racing, or aggressive riding. there are plenty of other much much much more expensive bikes out there , designed for nothing but the race track. at 11 grand or so, I dont see this bike built exclusively for the race track.
