So what\'s the best pipe for the buck?

The TI FORCE is a FULL Titainum Pipe.

4 into 2 into 1....This is the better way to go if your running a Stock Motor. Better torque with that combo.
A 4 into 1 is the best type of pipe in my situation, but I wanted to do some R&D with this lite weight TI FORCE, and so far I'm very happy!(how can you go wrong with 6 1/4pds?)
I think retail on the pipe is $1095?
But if you call Skip Dowling at Orient Express(800)645-6521 and tell him your from Hayabusa.Org , he'll shoot you a much better deal.
Orient Express is a dealer for the Power Commander 2, and they also have a Dyno-Jet 250!
This means even though there is a Map offered for the TI FORCE from Dyno-Jet, Skips shop will be able to come up with Many Other TI FORCE Map combonations. Thats a Big Plus!

How many Guy's are there out there right now, thats not happy with the Map for thier Pipe combo? Several, including myself!

Orient Express has been doing R&D on the Hayabusa since May last year. Skip will be more than Glad to share any PW2 info you might need for the TI FORCE.

MdBusa, my bike is a 99 black and silver, i strapped the front and have a dog bone (2") lower in the back. my weight is 210lbs and i am 43 years old. i still am learning how to launch the bike, leaving at 3500 rpm trying to slip the clutch, my best 60' is 1:70, the bike ran 116mph through the 1/8. this bike really pulls hard from the 1/8 mile through the traps, it gained 27mph. i also have the clutch mod on the bike. peace

vee521,

That's a good et. I would like to run some 9.80's with stock pipes. Any other mods to your bike? I weigh around 210lbs myself.

hey guys, i say buy a pipe that looks and sounds good to you. people talk about horsepower gains for this or that pipe, but my bike ran 9:85@143 with the stock exhaust, and i saw keith dennis run 9:50's with a stock pipe, the bike was lowered front and back. one thousand dollars is alot of money! the stock cans polished look pretty good to me. "just my 2 cents" peace

I'm not sure if you HAVE to remove the p.a.i.r or not?

I did on mine because there is no need for it with an aftermarket exh. You'll loose 2pds without it. And it's nice to have more room when you change your oil filter.

I honestly can't tell you what the TI FORCE sounds like out of the box?(sorry) I pulled the Packing & Baffle out(lost another 2pds) of the canister before I ever mounted it to the bike.

I'm running it with the End Cap only(to gain more Top End hp), and because of that, it's loud but not as bad as an open header.

Skip has been selling a lot of these pipes, and he says he's been having a hard time keeping them stocked.

There are many good pipes out there and after reading all the great info offered on this site on this subject, my choice is the RODAN RACE PIPE from A-TECH. This is a true Japanese made pipe. As soon as I install this pipe I will share the before and after figures with all the members. This is a titanium pipe with a carbon fiber canister.

Well on the "Modifications & Aftermarket Equipment" Board There are several Dynos quoated and the Acropovic pulled out 11hp with the rest of the bike stock.
The problem that I have is with the cost. My parts dealer quoated me $825; once the pipe came in the price jumped to $1050. They blamed Lochart, I blame them. www.cybercycle.com hear I come.

Lockhart did raise the price on the Akr. I bought two in one day and paid two different prices and then a couple of
days later I got the same pipe cheaper then a couple of days before. There pricing is really crazy at times. Now the
dealer price for this week is $895. I guess I should say for today at this moment because when I call them back I
guarantee they will be different.
