Socal bash?

Ok, since I'm a noob at this, any logistical parameters I need to know about?

Kevin (FireDog)will come to SD and ride my Gen2, regardless. He's got some family out here and he's got a bike to ride. I'll break the Gen1 out and spank it on her for the weekend.

all this is pretty loose stuff, you will go crazy trying to "run" something meant to be fun... all items are "suggested" with exception of meeting place and "Stands up" time..

Meeting place:
meet Time:
Safety talk:
Stands up time:
Route:
Fuel/Food/Rest stops: (great reason for a pre-ride)

ICE info: (just in case)
Loose (very loose) schedule:

at least 1 sweep rider (that knows route)

think that is the majority of it.. always add more to the list :)
other than that, pretty much have fun :)

outtahand,

I wouldn't worry so much about numbers of riders who attend. It seems that the expectation of how good a ride will be depends on how many riders attend. I would say if it was to be more of a social get-together then yes, the more the merrier, but if it is to be more of a ride with some stops for fuel/food, the bigger numbers can make for bigger problems on the ride.. I would suggest making plans for a ride YOU would like to do, invite everyone you want, and whoever shows up to join you for your ride will surely have a good time. No expectations, no let downs, no bitterness. Keep it simple and enjoy the day... Just my opinion...:beerchug:

This sounds very wise.

10-4! Small groups are almost always better. But when a thread is started to have a get together for the west coast hayabusa crew that would create an environment of fun to be had by all. Las Vegas was chosen as the meeting place for 3 years previous to the attempt in Socal and results were also mixed, very mixed. The goal was to line up Hayabusas in front of a casino or the dam or the Welcome to Las Vegas sign that would be a pic to compare to the east coast dam photo or the Australian dam photo that is so awesome. Many respond and seriously few actually show. Don't misconstrue Lamb's ability to have fun with Charles, shortboarder, Ba and Scar. This small crew rides like the wind and tears up canyon roads. It's just that it seems as though alot of planning and effort goes into trying to create an environment of inclusion and something for everyone when communication could be carried out in 2 phone calls really. Lamb rides the canyon roads all the time with very small groups and welcomes the time when many Hayabusas could gather in one place.

Why in the world would I need to prove it, what are you saying?

Do you really think all Busa riders login to a org like this?

Not really sure what your message is here?

No grand message or anything to interpret as to assail you masculinity. It just means that Lamb would enjoy a group get together of more than 12 busas at the same time at the same place on the west coast south. Since there aren't 12 Hayabusa riders in Socal, as has been proven by previous attempts, try your hand.

Understood, but I never stated I would pull 12+ busa riders in one place

What I stated was I am riding or hanging with some of the busa riders who are not part of the first 11 riders that everyone is referring too.

We just do rides with small groups of 2-3 busa riders at a time.

Lol!

roger that!! I'm not a big canyon (or street rider for that matter), but when I rode with Lamb, Charles 'n' crew on the last two SoCal rides, they were EPIC!! And that's due to the smaller, yet highly experienced/skillful riders that attended. But I'm a p.u.s.s. when it comes to street and canyon riding, that's why I can only do 1 day worth of riding out of a multi day event. Lamb,SCAR, BA, and Charles are the true IRON MEN when it comes to consecutive canyon dayz.
