Home safe! WOW, what a ride. From snow and ice and fog to 85 degrees back to snow. Nobody fell, thank you boys! Pics will follow in a while. Gunny is in trouble, he no showed on the group. Couldn't get out of Julian, he said. We rode through there later in the day and someone didn't answer his phone.....................hmmmmmm. Well, it's just as well. Hope you had fun with the family. Julian was packed with people. Nobody got a ticket, and with gunny around the chances go way up.

Where's the pics!!!

More pix...I walked out onto the lookout and found a directory of indigenous Raptors...on the far right, you'll discover...the Peregrine Falcon...I smiled...

Up close, it looks like this...

The caption reads:

The Peregrine falcon is large and stocky with pointed wings and a short tail.  This raptor has a dark gray back, and a dark cap on the head in the shape of a helmet.  The Peregrine falcon uses smooth and powerful wingbeats to hunt open areas for birds near the cliffs where they nest.

I smiled again...
