Some are calling him the Messiah!

But if God was so powerful wouldn't he protect HIS word. However the Bible reads now didn't he allow it? ???

However there are plenty of possiblilities that OUR interpretation of the Bible could be off.

This is the only time you'll ever find me defending the bible hehe screen shots welcome:thumbsup:

The dead sea scrolls proved that the bible didn't not lose ANY of it's meaning in all these years of translations.

There, I did it:whistle:

There, I did it:whistle:

I am approaching this not as an arguement but because there seems to be some difference of opinion.

You may be right in that the meaning may not be lost. For instance the reference to the numerical identity of the anti-christ, however whether or not the actual number is 666 or 616 seems to be in question.

first he's the anti christ...now he's the messiah...

that is counter productive

this obama fella wears many hats

In the last days, the anti-christ will be labeled the messiah. He's the "false messiah." (If that makes any sense to you or not, I don't know), but thats supposedly what's supposed to happen. :dunno:

This crap is creepin' me out! :eh:

as a whole, I think the human race is to stupid to recognize all the false messiah stuff.. Yea there will be some but for the most part? sheep.....

They want someone to lead them to the promised land and that is all they see.. Some of these leaders are good (say Moses) and some are at the opposite end (say Hitler) but both promised the same but one was for real the other.. needless to say, was less than a good guy..

I am going to rely on my internal barometer and hope I have the intestinal fortitude to keep my faith where it belongs..

To this point in my life, it has been pretty easy but I fear it may be about to get difficult.. My gut tells me as long as these types of conversations are going on in a public forum, I am for the most part safe

true he will be labeled the Messiah. Is Obama being labeled the Messiah? Yes. But he's not the first one to be labeled that. He IS the first one I believe to be labeled that in such an influencial and highly esteemed position. Does that make him the person who will become the antichrist? Probably not. Just seems too far out there. The end will come. This person will come into power before hand. Is he it? It would be too good to be true.

A friend forwarded this to me and wanted to share, kind of long but worth the read:

WHITE GUILT IS DEAD

By Tom Adkins

Look at my fellow conservatives! There they go, glumly shuffling along,
depressed by the election aftermath. Not me. I'm virtually euphoric.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not thrilled with America's flirtation with neo
socialism. But there's a massive silver lining in those magical clouds
that lofted Barak Obama to the Presidency. For today, without a shred of
intellectually legitimate opposition, I can loudly proclaim to America:
The Era of White Guilt is over.

This seemingly impossible event occurred because the vast majority of
white Americans didn't give a fluff about skin color, and
enthusiastically pulled the voting lever for a black man. Not just any
black man. A very liberal black man who spent his early career
race-hustling banks, praying in a racist church for 20 years, and
actively worked with America-hating domestic terrorists. Wow! Some
resume! Yet they made Barak Obama their leader. Therefore, as of
Nov 4th, 2008, white guilt is dead.

For over a century, the millstone of white guilt hung around our necks,
retribution for slave-owning predecessors. In the 60s, American liberals
began yanking that millstone while sticking a fork in the eye of black
Americans, exacerbating the racial divide to extort a socialist
solution. But if a black man can become President, exactly what
significant barrier is left? The election of Barak Obama absolutely
destroys the entire validation of liberal white guilt. The dragon is
hereby slain.

So today, I'm feeling a little "uppity," if you will. From this day
forward, my tolerance level for having my skin color hustled is now
exactly ZERO. And it's time to clean house. No more Reverend Wright's
"God Damn America," Al Sharpton's Church of Perpetual Victimization, or
Jesse Jackson's rainbow racism. Cornell West? You're a fraud. Go home.
All those "black studies" programs that taught kids to hate whitey? You
must now thank Whitey. And I want that on the final.

Congressional Black Caucus? Irrelevant. Maxine Waters? Shut up. ACORN?
Outlawed. Black Panthers? Go home and pet your kitty. Black separatists?
Find another nation that offers better dreams. Go ahead. I'm waiting.

Gangsta rappers? Start praising America. Begin with the Pledge of
Allegiance. And please...no more ebonics. Speak English, and who knows
where you might end up? Oh, yeah...pull up your pants. Your underwear is
showing. You look stupid.

To those Eurosnots who forged entire careers hating America? I'm still
waiting for the first black French President.

And let me offer an equal opportunity whupping. I've always despised
lazy white people. Now, I can talk smack about lazy black people. You're
poor because you quit school, did drugs, had three kids with three
different fathers, and refuse to work. So when you plop your Colt
45-swilling, Oprah watchin' butt on the couch and complain "Da Man is
keepin' me down," allow me to inform you: Da Man is now black. You have
no excuses.

No more quotas. No more handouts. No more stealing my money because
someone's great-great-great-great grandparents suffered actual pain and
misery at the hands of people I have no relation to, and personally
revile.

It's time to toss that massive, obsolete race-hustle machine upon the
heap of the other stupid 60s ideas. Drag it over there, by wife
swapping, next to dope-smoking. Plenty of room right between free love
and cop-killing. Careful...don't trip on streaking. There ya go, don't
be gentle. Just dump it. Wash your hands. It's filthy.

In fact, Obama's ascension created a gargantuan irony. How can you sell
class envy and American unfairness when you and your black wife went to
Ivy League schools, got high-paying jobs, became millionaires, bought a
mansion, and got elected President? How unfair is that? Now, Like a
delicious O'Henry tale, Obama's spread-the-wealth campaign rendered
itself moot by it's own victory! America is officially a meritocracy.
Obama's election has validated American conservatism!

So, listen carefully...Wham!!!

That's the sound of my foot kicking the door shut on the era of white
guilt. The rites have been muttered, the carcass lowered, dirt shoveled,
and tombstone erected. White guilt is dead and buried.

However, despite my glee, there's apparently one small, rabid bastion of
American racism remaining. Black Americans voted 96% for Barak Obama.
Hmmm. In a color-blind world, shouldn't that be 50-50? Tonight, every
black person should ask forgiveness for their apparent racism and
prejudice towards white people. Maybe it's time to start spreading the
guilt around.

WOW, i'm speechless! Nothing else needs be said!

Adkins is a dikk and you need an ambulance!:please: The audacity (or grasping at straws) to suggest that because a black man became President has solved this country's racial imbalances is absurd.

actually the number 666/616 really has no meaning to me, i plan on being long gone before the old a/c takes power and starts putting his code on everone. the number comes into play if you are trying to figure out who it might be. but also 666 has been associated with quite a few people, so has 616. none of these ol boys proved to be him. its a guessing game just like when will the rapture be. for me the bible is GOD's word fullly and complete. but i think its also a good thing for someone to search on matters like this, it gets you deeper into the bible.

How long are black people going to hold this slavery thing against white people who were not even around back then?

Let me clue you into something.

Slavery started in this country when people from here traveled across the ocean, found land. found a place where tribes would fight each other, the winner would take all the surviving tribe members they caught and sold them to the visitors from this country.

It is not like people from this country traveled somewhere and conquered people and took them by force.

Black people conquered other black people and sold them into slavery.

Now with that said, every fricken stinking race on this planet has been subjected to slavery and discrimination at one time or another in the history of this world from the beginning of time.

He11 Chinese people were brought over to this country as slaves, you don't seem them whining about it still.

How in the he11 would you like to have been Japanese in the United States during world war II?

Check this out?

World War Two - Japanese internment camps in the US

How would you like to have been living in America, land of the free, working and all of a sudden because of you herritage you are ripped from your home and put into camps?

I would say that would be a pretty f'd up thing

You don't see Japanese people running around whining about it and continuously bringing it up and blaming the United States for their personal problems.

He11, we bombed the fricke crap out of Japan with fricken nukes, Japanes people living today are still affected by that in someway. But you dont see Japanese people in the United States constantly bringing it up and slamming it our face.

And why? because it is in the past and they know to get over it they need to move on.

I am sure at some point in history I have ancestors that were slaves at sometime. Because EVERY STINKING RACE HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO SLAVERY!!

But only black people are continuing to make an issue out of it in a country where it is no longer acceptable.

Get over it already. Move on.

I see successful people of all races all the time, including black people. I don't hear the successful black people crying racism. They had drive and motivation to succeed. and guess what? they did.

I for one squash just about any racism I see on this board if I feel it is racism against a black person.

but guess what? if a black person makes a racist comment towards someone else I am a little squeamish to do or say anything about it..

and why? because I am afraid if I say anything about a black person make a racist comments they are going to flame me for being racist.

WTF!! that is fricken wrong.. but guess what? that is how I feel. I feel like I have to walk on fricken egg shells all the time.

even though I have never discriminated against anyone and I feel I treat everyone equally, for some reason I feel obligated to take crap off of people for something that people did a long time ago that I dont even know.

And for all I know my ancestors might have been some of the large amount of white people who fought to free black people from slavery.

But no.. because I am white I feel obligated to be called a racist and have to accept being labeled all the time and being told I just wouldn't understand the black mans issues.

seriously, wtf is that all about..

Move the he11 on. this whole race issue needs to drop on BOTH sides for it to ever go away.. really.. you think black people can continue to treat whites the way they do and it will be ok? you think whites who did nothing to black people should just keep fricken sucking it up forever without ever saying anything about it?

This attitude is what is keeping this country segregated.

If you are black and a white person discriminates against you do something about it, take them to court, beat their a$$ whatever.

But those black people who look at a white person and just automatically think they are racists, or prejudice, guess what? THEY are now being racist. they are doing exactly what they hate, they are judging people by their color.

How fricken hypocritical is that?

Seriously. Do like I do. judge everyone on how they are, not by their skin color.

WOW, i'm speechless! Nothing else needs be said!

You have a lot of wind. Too bad you know nothing of the true history of this country and that the so called guilt would not only extend to African Americans but also the American Natives and some other ethnic backgrounds. The act of electing an African American who also is half African American into the White House as President in such a F@cked up time is typical. If the country was not in such a crappy position he would have never made it pass the primary. That is the cold hard truth, and I did'nt have to write a book to say it either. So with that being said this is a big thing yes, but the dept is not settled by a long shot!

you should drink the koolaid.... I doubt there is anything to stem your resentment and hatred.. your soul is poisoned by spite... very sad...

but onward and upward, you are already making excuses for him? There is not a president that did not take on some gargantuan problems.. By comparrison, Obama has an easy road..

Go back and look at what a few guys had to face..

Civil war (650,000 men died to fighting slavery, sorry that does nothing for your "debt")
WW1
WW2 (new pres had to drop the bomb)
VietNam
The great depression
Trade center massacre
Korea
Monica Lewinski

You can go back and find tremendous problems these guys worked out... So if Obama is cut from presidential cloth, he will pull it off... if he is an incompetent, we all pay...

now go back in your hole...

OMG!! refer to my previous post.

No one here personally owes you or any other black person anything. there is no debt to pay or be paid.

That is the problem. how is the so called debt going to be ever paid? who makes that determination? what has to happen to ever repay you as a black person for something that occurred before you were born?

There is nothing that could ever be done to make you happy. there is nothing that could ever be done or accomplished in your life time that would make you feel the debt was paid in full.

You are living with a burden and hatred that all in all is causing you the most damage.

Anger and hatred destroys the person who holds on tight to these things.

When I go to bed tonight your anger and hatred will not have an affect on me.

But when you go to bed tonight that anger and hatred will be with you and it will affect you.

Seriously. for your own good you got to let it go.

I cant say I have been angery at someone because of race issues. But I can say I know what feeling anger and hatred for someone is like.

Dude it is exhausting. it wears you down. it eats at you from the inside

When I have been angry with someone. or felt like I really hated someone, the ONLY time it ever got better is when I let it go. when I let go of the anger..

That is not something anyone could have done for me, or helped me with. It was something I did on my own.

I do not mean this as a slam. you just seem very angry. if you can find someway to let go of that anger, somehow, I really think you will be a much happier person.

If you want to talk in PM and just blast me and get everything off your chest , if it will make you feel better lets talk.

Wow, could this be more racist?

I find it funny that I get threatened with being banned for being "Narrow Minded", about what I don't know, yet this kind of crap gets posted and nobody steps up. This article, aside from being hateful, is the most worthless piece of crap I have ever seen. What useful purpose does it solve? None. All it dose is stir up an already tension filled pot.

I have know idea what is like to grow up as a blck man but I know enough people and seen enough crap like this, to know it is not easy, and Obama being elected certainly is not going to all of a sudden change that, this article proves it.

We ALL have a lot to do to make this country better. NO ONE gets a pass simply because Obama got elected there is still much work to be done.

Toxsick - somehow your post was also quoted but this was not directed at you personally.

How long are black people going to hold this slavery thing against white people who were not even around back then?

My people were enslaved by the Japanese before America was even a colony. Yet to this day, they still hold onto a resentment of the Japanese that has lasted over a millennium. The systematic enslavement of a entire culture of people is not something that is easily forgiven.

You really should be a bit more patient with the children of America's former slaves. While slavery was ended 143 years ago, blacks in this country were treated no better for decades after and have only recently been afforded equal civil liberties and protection under the law via the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

It was still illegal in many states for blacks to marry whites until Loving v. Virginia in 1967.

Yet even with all these laws and the civil rights movement, blacks were heavily persecuted well into the 70's in most southern states by both civilians and law enforcement.

Every single African American over the age of 25 have had parents who lived during the times of segregation and racial oppression. If your parents were treated so poorly and you grew up seeing your mother treated this way, I highly doubt you would be standing here today without any chips on your shoulders.

i see people posting there views, but when the opposite view is posted you get angry. Sorry but everyone isn't going to agree with you. especially if you haven't walked the walk. You need to walk a mile in a black mans shoes before you can cast judgement. you can call it what you like. I don't know what it feels like to be white and you don't know what it's like to be black.

Wow, Something I have learned, which has nothing to do with race, is Negative energies ruin you and keep you down. If you always blame someone else for your problems and feel that you are suppressed by someone else, you will be!!! This applies in life to everything. If you move on and stay positive, positive things happen to you. There is a time that you stop blaming everyone for your problems (whether they are or aren't caused by someone else) and just move on and become a better person. I did not vote for Obama, but whether he was black or white had anything to do with my decision. The world still has racial people (on both sides) and that really sucks that someone could really judge someones performance based on their color!!! But the attitudes need to change on both sides of the racial thing. Whether I voted for Obama or not, he is going to be my president and I hope for the best. I am impressed with him and his ability to make it to the top as a person, not a black man. As Thrasher said, for your own good, you need to realize you can suppress yourself by your own thoughts. The mind is a powerful thing. The subconscious controls you. Your brain is a computer, if you put negative thoughts in you get negative results. The more negative energies that make it to your subconscious will actually set you to fail in life. Your subconscious can not reject any thoughts. You build your life and your destiny on the way you allow others to influence you whether they are positive or negative. You control your life and your destiny....

I have been in those shoes and I've posted up about it. I know exactly what it's like.
