While I think that the complainer is overly sensitive, it comes as no surprise that someone objected. That style of helmet was worn by the Nazi soldiers, however recently it has been made popular by bikers of all races and bike types. One of the more notable cats to wear one is the godfather of the street stunt scene, Wink 1100. As our African-Jewish American complainer should know, Wink is responsible for the popularity of that style of helmet amongst urban bikers, not the memory of stormtroopers from decades ago. Rather than making a fuss about Greg wearing the lid, if this guy was offended by the resurgence of what he finds offensive, surely he could have found a better example of "Neo-Nazism" to complain about.....

Personally, I like the ad. You're on a Busa but looking further I'm guessing before reading more than the first four posts that people saw it a bit ironic to wear gloves and not have sleeves.
Why wear gloves (safety item) but not wear sleeves?
Otherwise I see nothing that would draw complaint. Looks rugged.

No matter what you do/say in this life and no matter how good/positive you try to make it, there will always be some criticism and complaints.
With that said...as long as you are in peace with God that you didn't do something to offend Him, forget about the rest who just like making people existance a pain to ride it.
The ad is great, you are doing something you like and you just did what you were told to do...this does not mean you did something to offend no-one, nevertheless on purpose.
By the way...if ICON needs a model for those Kitty outfits...tell them that you have a friend on the board who would like to model them! Heeeeey, if I can't have them, at least I could model them right?

Okay, so I'm late on this one. I looked the picture over and over and didn't think twice about the helmet, except that it wasn't a full face. Either I have more important things on my mind or it really didn't matter to me. As has been said, some folks will find something wrong about anything. I like the ad.
Now you guys know that my skin is way to thick to let anything like this bother me. I a'nt mad at the guy. My skin is thick, but my mind is open. I am willing to learn if there is a lesson to be learned. But you cats have helped verify that there is no lesson here. It is hyper sensitive, mellodrama (spelling).

I never connected these helmets with Nazis. Obviously they are German in style, but making them Nazis seems to go too far to me. I wanted to know if I was all wet, so I conducted this test. I had one for a while, and put a 4 inch spike in the top of it, just for something different and a little mean looking to wear on the chopper. Let me tell you I was lucky to make it the 15 mi trip to work. Had at least 5 people give me the finger and someone tried to run me off the road. I kid you not, no BS here. I didnt understand it, and was scared someone was goin to get me hurt, havent worn in since.
The helmet bothered the guy. He was an African American Jew and was ofended by the ad. The following quote is an excerpt from the letter.

You are right about that. Hell, the kevlar lids that the American troops wear now look more like the German helmets than that does (the shape of them) . Does that make them racist too?
