They're just jealous...no creativity or individuality.
Perhaps they need to read this!
I never connected these helmets with Nazis. Obviously they are German in style, but making them Nazis seems to go too far to me. I wanted to know if I was all wet, so I conducted this test. I don't know how we get past these dark periods in history if we hold on to such things.[/QUOTE]BINGO!Its the nazi german helmet , Doesnt bother me a bit, and it really doesnt represent anything of the matter any longer , BUT it still does offend some people. I had one for a while, and put a 4 inch spike in the top of it, just for something different and a little mean looking to wear on the chopper. Let me tell you I was lucky to make it the 15 mi trip to work. Had at least 5 people give me the finger and someone tried to run me off the road. I kid you not, no BS here. I didnt understand it, and was scared someone was goin to get me hurt, havent worn in since.
The helmet bothered the guy. He was an African American Jew and was ofended by the ad. The following quote is an excerpt from the letter.
I just wanted to take a moment to drop you guys a note. I would say that I am a loyal Icon customer. I feel that I must alert you to the frustraton that I felt upon seeing your newest ad in 2 Wheel Tuner. The model in the newest ad is wearing a German (Nazi) style helmet. As an African-American and a Jewish-American, I find this extremely offensive. If Icon is condoning such a blatant act of anti-semitism and racism as a whole, maybe it's better that the more enlightened consumers take there business elsewhere. I understand that the model is of African descent , but his ignorance should not be seen as an endorsement by those that understand history.
You are right about that. Hell, the kevlar lids that the American troops wear now look more like the German helmets than that does (the shape of them) . Does that make them racist too?It doesn't look like a Nazi helmet to me. Aren't they lower in the back?
