SPEED TRAPS !!! or please list

I feel sorry for you guys there, we do not have a problem on this side, last time I went past a police patrol here was on the motor way on a nice Sunday morning, I was doing something like 300km, I dont think they tried to catch me up

Re: SPEED TRAPS !!! or please list

HWY 58 from Tehachapi to Boron---Airborne patrol thru canyon and past Edwards Air force base.

HWY 99 from Grapevine thru Bakersfield going north (re-visit from page 3 of thread), the sign does exist.

Old Woman Springs Road and I-15 in Victorville near the mall. Cameras installed and VERY sensitive.

210/30 from Redlands to San Berdo--CHP hide on the back side of the overpass. Be careful going thru there.

30/330 North going to Big Bear MT. from the I-10. Many CHP bikes partol that area during warmer riding months.

I-10 east of Redlands to HWY 62. Casino out there draws many CHP bikes and unmarked cars. Cage drivers treat that area like the Autobahn. Speed limit 75 most cages drive 85++

HWY 62 from I-10 to 29 Palms (AKA 29 Stumps HWY) going into the short canyon there are 2 turn outs that CHP will sit in and can not be seen until it is to late Speed limit in canyon 55.

Lear Ave. in 29 Palms, from HWY 62 to the back gate of the Marine base, watch speed (limit 55) CHP FREQUENTLY patrol that street. I know my kids live there.

Hope this can help some of you!

Re: SPEED TRAPS !!! or please list

Decatur Texas 380 east just before Highway 51. The place I work is within sight of the trap. I hate to see a bike pulled over (actually I've never seen one) but the cagers are pure entertainment.
Seriously though, the Texas highway patrol and the local city take turns. The Hypos sit on the eastbound shoulder just over the bridge. The city sits in the crossover.

Alright first off i'm a Texas Aggie class of 2012 and i was on my way back to houston from Austin on hwy 290 and i was going 81 on a 70 and sure of all the cops i get a fellow Aggie class of 2005 and he said since we were family "Aggie family" he would give me a break so i climb back on and he says wait then he gives me a ticket and says here is your break i marked it down to 80 on a 70. aw i couldn't believe it. i got this ticket just 2 days ago.

Re: SPEED TRAPS !!! or please list

For you guys that run GPS, there are custom POI's available that warn about known speed cameras, speed traps, and red light camera. That's if your GPS has that feature.

I-90 east of Seattle through the Cascades. Radar every quarter mile or so. No escape from the boys in blue although I did talk to one guy on a Ninja do'in 150mph escaping them.

I-25 From Douglas, Wy to Cheyenne, Wy....5 miles over the speed limit guaranteed ticket.

guess the best way to avoid ALL these speed traps is to keep to the posted speed limits...of course thats easier said than done:whistle:

or just don't stop. that one's up to you tho, you can't outrun the radio.

Re: SPEED TRAPS !!! or please list

Sam Rayburn Tollway (formerly known as just 121) in/about the Colony, TX. They like to sit at the bottom of the first hill going south after the North Dallas Tollway. I've seen both DPS and Colony police there. It's a good location for them; they can hide behind a concrete barrier and zap you as you crest the hill.

Check your speed before going over the top!

Re: SPEED TRAPS !!! or please list

Any part of the interstate in Madison County, Florida. That is just west of Jax.

Florida, West Coast: the new Belleaire Beach bridge, both directions. You have to use the brakes not to exceed the posted limit.
