So did you KC guys decide when you leaving yet? As far as date and time?
Yort, We have reservations for Friday 4/28 - Sunday 4/30 . Looks like the plan at this time is to leave Kansas City Wednesday 4/26 late in the afternoon or evening, or early morning Thursday 4/27. Still working on the logistics of meeting up with my son (GSXTacy) and the rest of the northern gang from Iowa(HOOKEN) (fstbusa) (GR1300) and the others. Sounds like this is going to be a blast.

Great job on list and site warbaby. Gotta say the first time after you added George Thorogood caught me off guard with speakers turned up.

Like the video and it brougt up a question for the dragon veterans. Seeing as it will be my first time there, and I believe in coming home with bike and body intact, I will be a "slower rider" the first few trips through. Is there a local hand signal to allow faster <s>bikes</s> riders to pass? Or do they just blast by you? I check mirrors fairly often and hopefully won't be surprised by it. It almost looked like the two up rider in video towards end gave a left hand wave?

well some will wait for you to get on the inside of the land and wave them past, others will just whip around you. Keep a constant eye on the road and one on the mirror.... most of us "vets" will make our passes early in the day and later in the day when the traffic is lower. The down side to that is missing out on the Killboy shots. There's soo many other roads to make sure you ride during the days there that you'll only make a handful of passes on the dragon

And yes, its the objective to send everyone home in the same condition as they arrived .... well less some rubber on the tires

As Zuk suggested keep watch on your mirrors. Most quicker riders will wait a few turns for you to motion them by. If you dont see someone behind you and motion them by, it really depends on the rider how the pass will be executed.

I try to give people pleanty of time to notice me behind them and will try to pass when I get motioned by. Or if I am not seen, I will do my best to pass in a short straight.

Always move to the outside of the lane to allow bikes by and there will be a few fast cars out playing as well. Watch for those as well.

If you have any more questions, let me know.

Great job on list and site warbaby.[/QUOTE] Thanks. It just seemed to me that being able to see the "who/what/when/where" details would make it easier for everyone.

Hehehe...I hate it when I get jolted like that.

Thanks guys. If anything I like to err on the side of safety. Yeah, that's why I bought a Busa...

Consider me as an outotowner who will be tagging along on a ride with one and/or both of ya. Of course, after the pancakes and sausage

Oh, and the picture? Yeah, I'll be there. Only part of the best damn message board on the internet!
thumbs-up.gif

I am eagerly awaiting this trip. This board has forced me to pull my bus out of winter storage and ride. It's not like there isn't a smile frozen on my face when it's 70* anyway.
