Spring Bash ~ April 28-30

I ride pretty cautiously on unfamiliar roads myself, Charlie~ This'll be our first trip to Deal's Gap, so I'll keep ya company in back of the pack for a bit~ Not to mention.. I'll like keep the Mrs (TKM) in my mirrors, so I'm not worring about her the whole ride~  Once I get comfortable though.... well, just keep an eye out for the Mrs for me, will ya?

there will be plenty of riders of all skill/speed levels, so once we get situated, I'm sure everyone will find a place to fall in where they are comfy. The ride plans I'm putting together have maps and directions so as long as everyone takes a copy, you can't get lost. The other thing, if we are doing a group ride, we will have a leader and a sweeper with spots along the way where we will stop for pics or whatever. Makes the ride take a little longer but allows for some kick ass pics and for slower riders to catch up, that way no one feels pressured to keep up so they dont get lost.

My first trip up there I was always worried I'd loose the pack but never did thankfully... this way, we never have that problem.

I imagine we'll all break up into groups naturally but I am thinking we'll put a few of the vets in as leaders/sweepers for a few rides should anyone want to follow along.

Gonna be at the Bash! Can't wait to meet up with all of you. This is my first "gathering" with like minded riders, so am very anxious. Only coming from Columbus, GA, anyone else coming up from this way I-85N. Gotta make reservations this weekend.

Hey All,
My wife asked me to mention that when she made my reservations Monday with SanRan Motel, they had plenty of rooms available during this bash. I've stayed there before, clean rooms. Located between the Phillips & Microtel.

So did you KC guys decide when you leaving yet? As far as date and time?
Yort, We have reservations for Friday 4/28 - Sunday 4/30 . Looks like the plan at this time is to leave Kansas City Wednesday 4/26 late in the afternoon or evening, or early morning Thursday 4/27. Still working on the logistics of meeting up with my son (GSXTacy) and the rest of the northern gang from Iowa(HOOKEN) (fstbusa) (GR1300) and the others. Sounds like this is going to be a blast.

we'll have to meet up when we get there I think.  Kevin(hooken) and I are leaving on tuesday.

Chris has my cell #.
Hell Travis, were only staying a few doors down from you! And we wont be able to miss those two bikes!!

I can see it now...40+ bikes fighting to stay at the "back of the pack" .....lol

the gap is what it is...and for us, I'll take my wife on it once or so...just so that she too can says she's been there.
The busa is a hefty and long bike to try and rip through there.
You CAN do it....but it's a workout.
I definitely prefer roads like the Skyway.

Sounds Like Im gonna skip Chicago & Madison, and head down I35 from Minneapolis to Iowa, than into KS and meet up with Yort and his crew late Wednesday night or Early Thursday Morning. Anyone from MN or Iowa wanting to hook up, drop me or Yort a PM and we can sort things out.

believe it or not, there's a few folks that prefer to ride sweeper, so I'm not worried abuot that part

We will probably wind up in packs of 6-10 bikes at various skill/speed levels & destinations so only the slower/less experienced packs will probably have a dedicated sweeper rider. The important thing is to make sure folks are comfortable, safe and do not get seperated/lost
