Spring  Busa Bash 2007

(PDBusa @ Nov. 30 2006,06:09) Hey Hal, I believe you can put LadyHawk,GJoker,JohnStein,2Quik&Busababby on the list as well. We are all in the same cabin as far as I know.

Is it April yet?
OK PD, I'll put them down but I would like to list where they are leaving from, where staying, what mode riding trailering, and distance traveling.

More good stuff to go with the rims....

Galfer wave rotors....

Thanks guys!

The rim is already mounted. I am just waiting on a new set of pads to arrive.

The rear wheel should be in this week.

It is simply amazing how much easier the wheel turns.

On the chat tonight we were talking about our plans for the Bash.  I have a all day route planned for Saturday which I said I'd post up.   Depending on what else is going on, this could be split into two routes, North loop on Saturday and South loop on Sunday.  I'm not sure of the road between Tellico Plains and Vonore, so if one of the locals could confirm that the road surface is decent for riding I'd appreciate it.

I got the stock wheel with stock rotors on the scale today.

Total 17.70lbs.

The Marchesini and Galfers.

14.30 lbs.

From what I see on most wheel sites, 1lb rotating mass is equal to losing 40lbs at 70mph!!!!!!

The rear will be here on Thursday.

I hope to have a full write up soon.

Thanks. It should keep us away from most of the car and harley clubs on the dragon Saturday. The 2007 calender isn't up at tailofthedragon yet, but there were quite a few last year.

Newbie interested for sure. Been wanting to go to Deals Gap for over a year now. Most likely will try and round-up a couple fellow busa owners for the trip.
Could someone give me a tip on where to lodge, you know, near the action of course.
Also, if anyone has advice on things I should consider brining to the gap, please email.

markfes If you want to be right in the middle of all the motorcycle action you need to stay at the deals gap motorcycle resort. Its right at the end of the dragon and is a great place to stay. Its really basic but its all you need. If you are planning on going to the busa bash most of us are staying at The Phillips Motel in Robinsville NC but I think they are full. If you have never been there the whole area is an fantastic motorcycle destination.

Rear wheel arrived today.

I should have a complete weight comparrison soon.

I am waiting on a lightweight rear disc to arrive that should be here on Monday.

(VaBusa @ Dec. 08 2006,11:39) Vman, the new wheels look awesome!!!
