Kevin, I got the latest Motorcyclist in the mail today and the new Ducati 1098 has those wheels on it from the factory along with Brembo brakes and Ohlins suspension all for 14999.00.

Cant wait to see the wheels on your bike and I bet you cant wait to get to try them out. Congrats!

I just wish that lightweight rear rotor arrived today. It is supposed to save 1lb over the stocker.

I could have mounted everything up over the weekend....

Ok, disc arrived today.

Stock rear wheel complete: 22.25lbs

Marchesini rear, renthal sprocket, lightweight disc: 16.10lbs

Rear savings: 6.15

Total front and rear: 9.55 lbs.

I cant wait to get some miles on this thing with the wheels installed.

Last year, my step mom Mary (GSXCites wife) made us some cool shirts to wear at the bash. The shirts had our screen name on them with kanjis on the sleeves, color matched to our bikes. I would love to see more people with some sort of tag, or shirt with there screen name on them so others can ID them.

I've never liked nametags, but that would have been great at the Meet 'n' Greet too. I might look into having something made locally, or we could organize something that might give some proceeds to the org......

Rob,
There are a bunch of rearsets available. There is also the buell peg mod. Do a search on it and you'll find a wealth of info.

Welcome aboard.

Also, the pegs off a Suzuki TL 1000 fit the busa. That mod worked well for me. The only thing you need is two bushings. Vman can hook you up with the pegs and bushings I think.

(Rayabusa0818 @ Dec. 14 2006,18:17) I'll be there.  I live too close not to be there.

...now come on out and introduce yourself

This one may wind up being bigger than the 06 spring bash. Its gonna be great no matter what and I can hardly wait.

I have reservations for April 26th to May 2nd at the Two Wheel Inn in Robbinsville.

There is a group of 7 of us trailering our bikes down from the Grand Rapids, Michigan area.  I ride an '06 Hayabusa, and my buddies have the following:

2006 CBR 1k
2004 R6
2001 Blackbird
1999 Blackbird
2002 954rr
1999 F4

This will be my 6th trip to the Deals Gap area, I will be stopping by the Phillips motel to check out the other Busa's and saying hello to you all.

Glad you guys are making the trip.

Are there any set plans for rides?

For instance, is there a plan to ride the Cherohala one day, and is there a plan to meet at the Overlook for pictures another day?

I would like to meet up with the group for the rides if they are planned.  thankx

Nothing set in stone yet.

Last Spring we did meet for a group ride down to the Dam for a shot and some riding shots.

I'll be lucky to make it to Fontana Dam again LOL

Glad to hear so many are on board...
