As for events.....
Last Spring, we had a get together around the fire pit at the Phillips when we ate.
I invited the local NCHP to come and speak to us and I will more than likely do the same for this one as well.
Friday night will also be an important time to be there as well:
We will do the giveaways on Friday after we eat.
Plus if you want in on the photo shoot on Saturday I will be collecting the money to pay Darryl and to send out the photo DVD's.
The photo shoot will take place on Saturday morning. Meet at the CROT and we will leave at 10am for little trip down Hwy 28 to a nice sweeping curve for a few action shots and then a group photo at Fontanna Dam.
There are no group rides planned. With a group this size, it is nearly impossible to organize a long group ride anywhere.
There will skill levels that vary from Gap novice to a very quick Gap pace.
If you are interested in exploring other roads in the area, there are several smaller groups that will get together and go out after the photo shoot on Saturday.
If anyone needs some help finding someone to ride with or would like any help with the Gap, please dont hesitate to ask.
I normally spend rather all of my riding time on the Gap. I mainly do my spirited passes early, before 10am or late afternoon.
I am no Gap expert and contrary to popular belief, I do not have all the curves memorized. I know there are several of us that are real familar with the Gap and will be more than happy to help you through if you need help.
Keep in mind, the Gap is not a race track. Do not use you time at the Gap to improve your cornering skillz, get to a track day for that.
