Spring  Busa Bash 2007

(mrninja9 @ Oct. 05 2006,14:03) I AGREE BUT I  THINK I AM GOING TO SHARE A ROOM WITH BEN

Okay... but you got the floor... and no showers together!

Well, it stayed on track for three posts anyway...
I think a registration fee for prizes/shirt/pics would be okay. I don't think making it mandatory will work, but registration for food/shirts/raffles is cool.

And no chinatown buffet...
It's okay, I'll just bunk with you if I do.

A fee to cover expenses is fine with me. Grand prize? I really have no opinion there. Perhaps a poll to decide? I agree that it 's really about getting together; in riding and visiting. I'm ready!!

I think the t-shirts are great, would take 2 or 3 again. Cook-out was good fun. I'm not sure I will need a cd again but I would pay the fee anyway. The raffle was fun although I didn't win anything........

Cheeseanrice you are getting this started early. Yes on the shirt. Yes on the fee. Yes on the the Grand prize. Sell raffle tickets so you have a better chance to win the grand prize but make the cost of them worth your time and effort. You know I will help out anyway I can cause its great to get together with this gang. I wonder if I can take about 6 weeks off right about that time of year.

A couple of more thoughts to ponder.

If we decide to go with a few, GP, shirt etc, it will have to be payed up front, at least 2 months before the Bash.

Last year there were a ton of shirts left over, and just a few extras were ordered. I do not want this to happen again.

Part of the fee can go to Kevin for the Brat burgers to cook one night. I know this can get expensive and I really appriciate those that kicked in to help last year with that expense.

A little break down of a possible plan.

$50.00 fee includes:

$15.00 for a shirt

$5.00 to Kevin for the Brats

$5.00 for a pic cd

$25.00 for a grand prize

If we get 50 people, that would be a nice $1250.00 shopping spree with Charles @ Street and Track.

This event was started as a free event and if we decide to go this route will be a major change in direction.

I do not want people to feel that I want to make the event go this way. I just was a part of the R1 rally and it was real impressive the thought of a shopping spree for the Busa.

Anudder option, kill the grand prize and just roll with a $25.00 fee for a shirt, food and a cd.

Last option, roll like last year. Give Kevin a few bucks or more for the brats, pay me for the CD.......

These figures are just a starting point........

I know I can cover the expense of the pic DVD with $5 with 50 payed.

Kevin will the same cover the brats for 1 night?

On the shirt, Zuk has said we can go with the same shirt company as last year. I can also check with Ron and Nancy at Tail of the Dragon and see what they can do for us.

I am just thowing ideas out there.....

Well, I know the guys/gals riding with me won't want in, then of course I get there late last year, too late to even enjoy the cookout

That may happen again this time; we may be stuck at some Harley place while a belt's being fixed AGAIN... LOL

I did buy a shirt and I did get a CD, but for me, I kind of like the idea of a free event...

That's just me though...majority rules on this...

I honestly dont agree with "majority rules" in this case.

This is an event that started as a free event, I was just looking at adding a new dimension.

There are votes each way and with people speaking up that they want a still free event to some degree, I say we keep in that way.

I DO FEEL that we need to make sure Kevin is covered money wise on the brats no questions asked.

I say, for those that want it free, they can show up and ride... Pay for stuff they may want (Brats, shirt, etc.) And those that want the WHOLE package, we make a list, and stick to it for those that signed up for it.

Three lists? No way bro. More work than trying to do the whole package.

I say make it easy...

If you want to be a part of the cookout, requirement is that you bring some food...if someone wants to bring a ton of brat burgers, then those that eat 'em need to chip in...

Shirts? I say if you want to make some, make only a handful...first come, first serve...avoids having some left over...

CD - seemed taking the $ for copies that you'd make once you got 'em worked just fine...

I say drop all the other bells and whistles and sit back, relax, have a good time...

Mom has spoken.......

Like I said before, we will just keep it a free event.

Maybe do a small run of shirts.

Pic Cd

And pay Kevin for the brats.

Hey now, I'm not the Mom making the decisions...just really thinking about the guy putting everything together and how much work/mass confusion it can be...

Simple is better, at least for the blonde
