Anybody got pics of the Sr3 mounted on their Busa?
I remember reading that ks-waterbug had the setup, any chance you still have it mounted waterbug?.
I suppose the next question should be is, how good does it work?

Radarbusters

This guy seems to know his stuff I bought a wireless detechter from him. they have done alot of testing...

Oz cops use they same lazers as U.S ?

I posted on the other link.......
If your wanting pic's I'll have to take some more this evening. I can't find a thing since I changed computers.... Food for thought and save yourself some money. Bel dectectors were bought out by Passport/Escort some years back. The jammers marketed and sold by both are virtually the same unit. I have both..... They perform almost identical, the Bel is a couple hundred dollars cheaper in initial price.

Are the "jammers" legal

I know radar dectors depended on the state you were/are in, but I thought the jammers were illegal in all 50

Lasar jammers are legal in most states in part, because it works off of light emissions. Not radio, which are governed by the FCC.....

Copied this from another site :

3 states have enacted laws banning the ownership, sale and use of laser jammers they are Minnesota (Minnesota Statutes 2002, 169.14) California (Sec. 1, Ch 493.28150, effective January 1999) and Utah (C. 41-6-52.7, 1998)

Guess I am illegal... again.

Anyone in Cali running a dectector and what happens if you get caught with one?

In Western Australia we have the Radar and Laser units below
K band Ka band
Kustom KR10SP (USA) Hand held Radar Gun

LTI Marksman (USA) Hand held Laser Gun

Multanova (Switzerland) Portable Slant Radar and camera on tripod

have you paired an 8500 up with your SR3 yet?
I think that will be the next unit I get.

That site is too funny. Let me tell you a nice story RITE NEXT TO MY ON-LINE STORE. The Science and FACTS PROVE THAT THEY ARE CRAP. Could shine a flash light at the radar and havesame effect. Read your own article. Our past tests for Automobile Magazine, Car Audio & Electronics, BMW Roundel, Corvette Fever and other national magazines prove conclusively that many detectors, regardless of price, offer no protection at all against lasers. They dont PROTECT againist laser, they DETECT. They're claimed to absorb and attenuate enough of the laser beam to chop target range. We have yet to see one that works. I can claim I can FLY too. Ok i love this one ....With the Suburban driven at a constant 10 mph toward the laser (past tests have proven that target speed has zero effect on jammer performance), we noted whether the jammer could reduce target-capture range from 1,000 feet to 450 feet, our threshold. Well My bike goes alittle faster then 10mph. At that speed normal atmospheric conditions would cause the decrease in distance. And who gets a speeding ticket for going 10mph. Totally stupid testing conditions. BEL LaserPro 904 ($349.95 suggested retail) SEND ME THE $349.95 I got a NICE BRIDGE IN NEW YORK TO SELL YOU.

That site is too funny.    Let me tell you a nice story  RITE NEXT TO MY ON-LINE STORE. The Science and FACTS PROVE THAT THEY ARE CRAP. Could shine a flash light at the radar and havesame effect.
No actually you couldn't as anything that produces light -- fluorescent lights, gas lanterns, incandescent bulbs -- does it through the action of electrons changing orbits and releasing photons. A laser is a device that controls the way that energized atoms release photons. "Laser" is an acronym for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation, which describes very succinctly how a laser works. They dont PROTECT againist laser,  they DETECT. They're claimed to absorb and attenuate enough of the laser beam to chop target range
Only partially correct; The new Laser Shifter ZR3 is equipped with a total of three (2 front, 1 rear) laser "Shifters." These highly sensitive transceivers detect the presence of LIDAR, and respond with a pulsed laser signal in order to "Shift" or confuse the targeting LIDAR gun. We have yet to see one that works.
Come to Kansas and I'll show you two..... With the Suburban driven at a constant 10 mph toward the laser (past tests have proven that target speed has zero effect on jammer performance), we noted whether the jammer could reduce target-capture range from 1,000 feet to 450 feet, our threshold.  Well My bike goes alittle faster then 10mph.
My Busa is also capable of intense high speeds, so when we ran our test using the Stalker LIDAR gun, we chose to go 60 mph... No problem confusing the gun. BEL LaserPro 904 ($349.95 suggested retail)  SEND ME THE $349.95 I got a NICE BRIDGE IN NEW YORK TO SELL YOU.
Hope your bridge will hold up better than your lasar jamming theory...

Just kidding, but I really think you should reconsider your thoughts on lasar jammers. I agree that there are alot of snake oil sales men out there. But, this is the farthest thing from snake oil when were dealing with very reputable companys! Other companys aren't even worth mentioning...

does anyone know anything about the rocky mountain radar/laser jammers are any good....i had the rocky mountain II and it worked great...i got no tickets but i later decided to sell it and get the newer model rocky mountain III. it doesnt seem to work at all. ive gotten several tickets using it.

I would pay you to run by a cop at 80 with the jammer. I bet you show up at 80 on radar. I have checked into this things alot. And every where I looked ( besides the places selling them say they are crap.) If YOU GOT ONE THAT WORKS SPILL IT. I DONT LIKE TICKETS. SO far the best I have found is the 8500. IT kicks ass.

The "Passport" 8500 is the same company that makes the ZR3 Shifter you keep bad mouthing....
What gives? And no, the answers I gave didn't come from the article in question! I just happen to have the misfortune of being an Electrical Inspector for a major aircraft company which gives me access to resources you've only dreamed of. In regards to the Rocky Mountain question.... Save your money!!! They're snake oil salesmen in my op....

SAbusa, I think we got off on the wrong foot. I believe we've had a misunderstanding..... I'm only talking about Lasar Jammers and not Radar Jammers, as the latter would be illegal. From my personal experience as a Police Officer I still have access to test the various Lasar manufactures against the Bel 904 LP and the Passport/Escort ZR3 Shifter. I would recommend either for doing the job they were designed to do. That is "Confuse the Lasar Radar Guns" at a reasonable distance. No legal jammer that I'm aware of has the capability to fool these guns at distances of less than say 200' consistantly.

Electrical Inspector for a major aircraft company which gives me access to resources you've only dreamed of.. Damn I have big dreams So thats a tall order. I also work in the Aerospace industry. And I checked your article and see the escort. I only like the 8500 and I feel it was better than my V1 only miss the arrows. Who do You work for GE ?

Boeing Military Airplane or more precisley WDMC. I see your from San Antonio, I've been there. Boeing has a facility there as you probably already know. Is that where you work? Heres some pic's before I changed the mounting of the Bel Lasar Jammer. During initial set-up and testing we ran into some problems with the unit. Specifically problems assoiciated with installing this unit on a motorcycle. After a couple of calls to the Bench Tech's at Bel we made some minor modifications and set out to run some more test. Since then I believe they have incorporated some of the suggestions made.
