\"Stock\" MUZZY Piped ZX-12R goes 199.3mph.....

Todd, you and your "kind" are very funny, when given the challenge, to put up in real world, reality, you again refer to "magazine" articles, though interestingly only the magazine articles that you believe. Some talk, some DO. Joe :) :)

Here in south fla we definately DO!

And we dont have corbin seats and backrests on our bikes.

And it'll be a cold day in hell before someone breaks 200 on a piped ZX12 other than a "special test".

JOEA,

As another one of the constant anonymous posers on this site, would you do the simple math that Todd alluded to?

Well, its been done for you and it does not add up. What can/do you actually ride?

Better yet, bring your wheels near or to Atlanta sometime and show us something.

There has been several other riders getting the same numbers as Muzzy/Gadson through out the country and Canada. Right here in NJ (Englishtown) A rider went a 9.55 with just a Hindle. And I know for a fact that bike was stock, it dynoed at 160hp with the pipe. My 12 with a Muzzy full ti/oval pulled 170.1hp on the same dyno. Does that mean that my bike has more hp? Maybe, maybe not, the bikes were dynoed on different days. Does that mean that my bike will be faster in the quarter, even if in fact it has 10 more hp. No, it depends on who ridding it. There are a lot of other riders running consistent 9.80s. And there are many others that can't get into the 9s. Several other tests have produced 190+ mph. So why is 192.3 so hard to believe. There is no dought that the 12 can and will go 200+ mph without going into the engine. Muzzy just proved that, and whether or not some people want to believe it, it really doesn't matter. Some people are threatened by the 12. Its real easy to question test results and the good people who (for whatever reason) are willing to share the results with us. For all you $hit talkers who think their bike is the fastest, there is top speed challenge at dragbike.com. step up and prove it. Lets see who shows up and who has the fastest bike. I'm sure it will not be the $hit talkers.

well as a update on buying a 12...went to the local dealer today and was offered one for 10 grand...good deal.He had 7 there to choose from. As he called it he had been whoring them out...they won`t sell. Also was recommended from him to wait he also had been told of a late summer clearance sell by Kaw...possibly 500-1000 rebate or super low loan rate. He said kaw rep told him that the 12 was most disappointing from a sales point of view...terrible...hence the sale.I got the offer to ride one...I did...fit and finish as described SUCK, it has much more vibration, has a better seating postion, handles OK,I did not really let it loose...its not my bike. I could definetly live with one if I`d never rode a busa but I have. I`ll see what kaw does here in a couple weeks. Checked around with the big street money racers today also...asked the question...hows the 12 stacking up to the bus in street money races. The busa kicks *** ...period. was told of several 12`s for sale..cheap...pretty much confirms what I`ve seen on the street too.....

Thats exactly whats happening down here chris, and I would venture a guess that we have more of both in a higher concentration than anywhere else in the world, arguably.

I never claimed to be anyone other that the person I am. Just the average Joe who loves to ride. I try to tour the country as much as possible. I enjoy riding with my wife. I make sure she is as comfortable and safe as possible. That means a comfortable seat and a removable backrest. When I ride solo, I cruise the hot spots looking for some fun. I avoid the $hit talking muscle head squids. They tend to be poor losers, and are always looking to try and kick somebody’s a$$. When it can’t be avoided I spank them real hard and they seem to respect that. Its all good! I must admit after doing this for 25 years its still fun, even when I occasionally lose. (not lately)

Lets end this now. If the kawi was faster it would be in the guiness book of world records in the spot that the busa presently owns. Do i really need to say any more?

Very interesting that both these guys come on here for the first time ever to reinforce the integrity of the test.
My relationship with their company dates all the way back to my first ZX10 and they both have my respect.
The problem is going to be that despite what they say here there will be NO more 199 and change runs produced by stock 12's even with a muzzy stainless pipe.
Pretty soon the question will be unavoidable: WHY DIDNT ANYONE ELSE DO IT AND WHY CANT WE?
Like I said at the top of the thread, mission accomplished guys. Just keep in mind that some of us know better.

So what if it went 199.3?? Who the f u c k cares??

They also mention that stock it went 192.3, which is short of the official 194.x run of a stock 'Busa.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Turbo Rick get a certified 201.x run on the 'Busa with only a pipe??

The ranting and chest beating is getting pretty bad! :)

Bottom line is that they are both fast bikes, only one is puke green and ugly as s h i t, and the other is a slightly faster work of art. :)

Turbo Rick bike had higher compression pistons, Web Cams, and, likely, some other internal mods. Bonneville Production Class allows internal mods to motor, as long as displacement is correct for class entered. Stock muffers can even be gutted, as long as outside appearance remains the same.

byhalia, I say again, some of you are really funny, you wank on me for being "anonymous", yet your own user name leaves me chuckling, if that is your non anonymous name then congrats on a very original one. Yes I do ride, not very often and probably not as well as you and most on this site. Joe A, stands for my name, Joe Amo, I only try to go fast often not successful, do have a world land speed record, entered the timed mile at 182 averaged 187 for the mile you do the math to figure exit speed, but its only with a 998cc bike, no match for yours I am sure. I spend my time trying to break them at the Bonneville salt flats.
The Guiness book is crock of something terrible, when it comes to speed records, if they are counting any magazine test, you see real world land speed records are for an average speed over a mile, not a radar gun clocking for a split second in time, and to do this you will likely be on a salt flats somewhere where it is slippery.

Anyway, there both wonderful machines, enjoy anything trying to attain speed, please feel free to follow the happenings at Bonneville on our website, http://www.landracing.com/, we update live daily from the salt to share in what is going on, interview with the likes of Vesco (last year), video (can see the turbinator going 400mph, and see Doug Meyer heading down course, and Turbo Rick heading down course, we did two stories on Rick you might have seen them on dragbike.com, plus alot of pics and info).

There is a shop here in Florida called Blais Cycles. The owner has a ZX12 that is putting out 189hp on his dyno. He claims to only have the Akro exhaust. No motor work. Is anyone else getting these numbers? What kind of HP are the Muzzy 12s putting out?
