Stolen

My thoughts exactly. And the lot next to cafe brazil is always pretty busy. It happened at 7:30pm so it was still daylight. Kind of discouraging. Now if I get a new bike my insurance will be through the roof. I do have full coverage but you never get a good deal out of things like this.

Is the sidemount plate on the right/left side. Where's it attached(passenger foot peg, swingarm)?

I know that saying white Gen 2 with black voo doos sounds like enough, but I don't want to get in an issue with the wrong person if you know what I mean.

License plate number would be good too. Even if the bike is recovered you'll be putting a new plate on it anyway; so it won't hurt to post.

Sorry for your loss man. I been through it myself and it's no fun. Like others have said you need to follow up with lojak. Also a bit of light I hope. My insurance did not go up at all. Hope that helps some.

Bummer!

Speak to a lawyer.

hell yeah, that would be my first stop!! that's big BS that Lojack didn't do their job. I wanted to put it on my bike but had to drive over 2 hours away for it. kinda glad I didn't do it. sounds like a waste of $$

good luck with all your new found stress bro, hope you get ridin again soon.:banghead:

i'll be all around today, including Denton cycle center. i'll be around alot of bikes. i'll be looking for 09 white, side plate, after market exhaust.

not sure what to do if I see it, but I'll be sure to get pics of the bike and of the people with it,,, in the unlikely event I run into it.

I hate to say, but they chop these fkin` things up quick.

and to think people claim i'm paranoid when i keep my eyes on my 09 all the time, and they expect me to treat it as it was just a regular car in that respect.

Just curious, were you in the cafe? if so how long?... Just wondering if they followed you or just stumbled upon your bike. I just want to know the specifics so I know what to do and not to do when I park my bike. Low jack isnt available in cincinnati so i have to real careful.

I am very sorry to hear about this!
I agree about being paranoid
I always park on the sidewalk and keep my bike in plain sight of anywhere I am sitting inside.

I was a few buildings away.....no more than a block away at any point for over anchor and a half. A friend and I wet grab pizza and she stopped in and got a quick tattoo then when we walked back to the bike to head home there was an empty parking space where the bike was. Lojack is supposedly great......I think they just fudged up on this one.

A theft falls under your "comprehensive" coverage by your insurance company and does not impact your premiums. You'll have to pay the deductible. At the very very least get LoJack to pay your deduc.

rotten bastards that took it.....I hope that when thier riding someones stolen bike they end up under a damn bus.

If you want something work for it, dont take from someone who did.

Amen to that. It sucks that something I worked so hard for can be taken so easily....and the fact that the measures I took to help recover it didn't even help. It hasn't even been 24 hrs so hopefully DPD and lojack will find it.

Cafe de Brazil is awesome.

lo jack probably has a part in the contract that they aren't responsible for anything. maybe not, but usually they have lawyers.

good luck!

Well my argument to that would be that I paid for a service that was supposedly activated. When in reality it was not activated correctly by lojack. Having that said if it were set up by them correctly then I would have been notified and I might already have my bike back. I'll call them back this weekend to talk about it. I really don't want to get an attorney involved.

Damn that sucks man. I hate parking my bike out of view. When I go to a bar or restaraunt I always park in front of a window where I can see it from the inside. I dont live in a huge town and to many people know me and what I would do if i saw them stealing it.

I treat my bike like the kids lol. That movie Taken has nothing on what I would do.

No liability clauses are meaningless if he can prove they did not provide the service he paid for, just as they are in medical claims if negligence is proven.

As I stated previously, this protects them ONLY if they provided the service they were paid for. If negligence is proven, as has already been admitted by them, it is worthless. Time to lawyer-up!

Ugh I hate to get a lawyer involved but I will if I need to. I'm hoping since they are such a large company they will try and maintain their good reputation and just take care of business on this one but I'm sure they are going to make this harder than it needs to be.
