C'mon... 77K miles is barely broken in for a Suzuki motor as long as it wasn't abused.

That said, I paid $3K (from a dealer) for my 2000 busa with 15K miles on it, in great condition, and that was stock except for the full Yoshi exhaust.

I just got a 2002 17XXXK on it, extended swingarm, full exhaust and overall good shape for 5300

I am a owner of a 02 with over 65,xxxx when I brought her she had 45,xxx on her Jan of 2013 and I paid 6,500 and she had some bolt-ons. with price aside I say go for it. now as for a street/strip bike and keeping her very simple go with the normal first good full set exhaust, pc3 or pc5, airbox mod, and change exhaust cam. here is what I did for mine to ensure my bike has some longevity I re-place second gear ( gen-1 are known for losing second gear) and replaced the main bearings and that's it. if you take to anyone on this forum they will tell you this is a very easy way to go to set your bike up and being a new rider something you can get use to.
