suzuki called today

I called Suzuki today and I didn't get to speak to Brian but the person I talked to said they would get it out to me within a couple weeks. Wait and see I guess, hopefully not a "check in the mail" situation!

If you read suzukicycles.com and read the descriptions on both the '05 and '04 LE's you'll notice that they don't mention the '05 getting an emblem and that the '04 does. I talked to a Suzuki rep on this and they said the reason for it was cause they didn't want to take attention away from the 20th Anniversary Editions of the 600 and 750 even though both bikes are way different from the Hayabusa. He also said that the LE's VIN is enough to tell the difference between an LE and a regular 'Busa.

On Suzuki's website, right on the main page after you click on "Hayabusa 1300R Limited":

Limited Edition includes: Gunmetal Gray finish with accented wheels and Limited Edition emblem.

On the 2004, it reads:

Limited Edition Hayabusa includes: special red paint, black frame, accented wheels, and Limited Edition emblem.

And on my '05 brochure, it lists the LE as having:

Gunmetal gray finish, Stylish black aluminum-alloy frame and swing arm, Black accented aluminum-alloy wheels, Limited Edition emblem

When I called Suzuki America directly, they said that the factory did not put them on, though I could not get it out of her whether it was a factory flub or a advertising flub

I don't buy the whole thing with the 20th anniversary edition 600's and 750's.  Sounds to me like your zook rep was blowing smoke up your ass.

Needless to say, I received mine in the mail as well.

Not that any of this is that big of a deal anyays...it is just a little plastic emblem that says "LIMITED" in gold lettering.  Nothing special, but most just feel that if it was advertised, it should have it.

can you send me a sound file of your exhaust I just ordered some yesterday. How did you install them, it looks a bit long? Looks like the mids are long as hell!!!!

I called a second time and asked to speak with Dave or Brian. I got Dave. A week later, my emblem arrived.

I DOES matter who you speak to. The woman I spoke to originally, just brushed me off. Dave got the job done. He did, however, ask me how I knew to ask for him. I just told him I heard it from a Busa owners group.

Not sure what you read, but I saw it on Suzuki's website plain as day...it says Limited edition emlbem right in the description in the first couple of lines.
