I had one and didn't like it.. sold on here to another member.. You will get different reviews, If you think you got to have one watch here as they come up every once in a while for Half of what fleebay sells for..

good luck..

It is definetly an improvement over stock. Some people swear by them.

But they hold heat and get extremely hot when left in the sun.

Differant strokes for differant folks. After 50 miles with the geal seat I was ready to beat the bike with a sledge hammer.Had a terrible butt pain. But that's just me,some people love them.Seat is history.I cut the foam down on the stock seat and like it alot.I will get a Tobin,it will be better.

I disagree with ya Greg.. I like the stock better.. the gel is hard, also tuff to maneuver around on. But yes you are right on about the hot part..

I have a like new one in stock for sale,I used it for 400 mile trip one weekend.

This stock one sided yosh slipon exhaust sytem is for sale also..Left side has been capped off under the bike.

Su-ucks!!!
200 mile ride and I couldn't find a good spot anywhere on it. Soon as we got home I took it off and put on the stock seat. MUCH better.

I've had none of those issues. I love mine.
I do 250-300 miles treks regularly.
Any saddle hurts if you don't get enough saddle time...period!

I would agree the old style all black fabric gel is crap. I have a new style with the silver sides and all leatherette. Wouldn't trade for any other seat. It works perfect for me.

I love mine for long trips, especially highway....

My Tobin is great for around town, not so good for long trips.

Bought a used '05 that had a Suzuki gel seat mounted and it seems pretty nice to me. I previously had a 2005 FJR1300 and the gel on the 'Busa felt much softer than that terrible seat. Too bad Sargent doesn't offer a seat for the 'Busa as I have always heard they are nice and look good also. To beat the heat issue on the gel saddle just lay a white hand towel over it when you have to leave the bike in the sun. You can alwys sell a used one that doesn't work out for you on E-bay or on here.

I have the old style black gel and it ROCKS. To each their own. I do 500 plus mile trips frequently with no complaints.
