suzuki is officially incorrect on busa weight!

the post is about the fact that the both bike without fuel, the supposedly 15 kgs heavier bking is in fact 7 pounds lighter, and the fact that the bking has a smaller tank; thats all

I really didn't see that you were making a comparison between the B-king and Busa. I thought you were just using the B-king as another example of incorrect weight by suzuki.

You are correct real world numbers do matter to some people, but most of those people just weigh their bike and ignore the mfr numbers, much less call out said mfr on a forum dedicated to said bike.

And I find it funny that you call Ruthless a stupid ass and yet you're the one with the question to which "most" people already know the answer. At least most people I know.

Re: suzuki is officially incorrect on busa weight!

H.E.L.L.O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dry weight is exactly what it says, "DRY"! No brake fluid, no fork fluid, no battery, no radiator fluids, Nada, NOTHING!

Apparently you have the opinion if the fuel tank is dry, that means "Dry Weight"! Do a little research and know your subject before you begin the name calling!

And one other thing I may point out! Once you begin the name calling you loose all credibility!

Youkoolele hasnt posted for almost a year, Methinks he might be long gone

I weighed my busa with all fluids and a r77 full exhaust and rear hump loaded with a few shirts at wheelers at the dragon.....it weighed in at 550lbs.

My buddy's R1 weighed less with him on it than my Busa did by itself!!!! Granted he's a little bitty feller, and his R1 is stripped down for racing but still!

I weighed my busa on an industriel scale accurate to 1/10 of an ounce it weighs 529#s with a full tank of gas and all other fluids...now with that being said, i have aftermarket exhuast, undertail and nitrous in the hump....LOL

Re: suzuki is officially incorrect on busa weight!

I should go dig up another old thread and fire it up.

Curb weight is what you should be looking at....the '09/08 is rated at 573lbs....that's fluids, battery, and yes, air in tires.

Like Warbird, I plopped my fatty on the scale at Wheelers (the Gap) and showed 544lbs topped off with gas. Only major mod to lose weight is a titanium M4 full exhaust, but all my other mods have easily packed back on 10 pounds of what I originally lost. ???
