Sweet Gloves, Great Prices!

Rode with my Teknics for the first time today. In fact I rode for the first time in a while today. Damn schedule has been hectic since I got my busa. Anyway, the gloves are great! I think I'll skip the Alpinestar gloves. These wear and feel so good that I don't need any other gloves.

Thanks again, Rev...

You have pics of your gloves yet Bullet?
But of course...

They look great! I wasn't sure I'd like the colors and prolly woulda bought solid black if they'd had any. I'm sure glad I got these tho. I love the way the look and wear. Wouldn't swap them for solid black now if I could.

The picture king! The gloves do look nice...they just seem like they'd sort of swallow up my hands and leave me with no good grip...I need to find a cycle shop with lots of gear to try on...then have Chris come up and take pics of all the stuff! :D

A good pair of Racing gloves would suit you well. They tend to have very sensitive palm and finger areas with extra armor here and there where you need it most. Bare hands shred upon impact with asphalt, think high speed, dirty assed, belt sander... Protect your head first, Hands second...In fact, I ride without a helmet more often than I ride without gloves still not very often but allways with gloves.

I'll admit...I'm bad about gloves unless it's cold, then I have a couple of pairs for warmth only...

I've got quite a lot to buy...where to begin?!

Hey RythM... I too have a pair of the Icon's .. However I really am not all that crazy about them. I don't seem to have a real good lever feel with them on.. But I gotta say they do get alot of looks when I have them on

{in my best Paul Teutul Sr. impression}

I gotta tell ya, I really thought the same thing.

{/Paul Teutul Sr. impression} ;)

Seriously Michelle, just seeing the gloves on newenough.com's site and the shot posted here by our ol' pal Rev I was concerned about the apparent bulk and stiffness of these gloves. I wondered if I'd be able to manipulate the levers with 'em on. I even looked at lesser gloves for some of my riding because I was afraid that the Teknics would be too much for every day riding.

After tryin' 'em on and riding with them I gotta tell ya that any concerns I had about these gloves faded away like a ZX12R in a busa rearview mirror. :super:

As big and bulky as they appear to be, even in person, they honestly wear and work like a plain medium weight leather glove, like what I wear at work during the winter. In fact, they allow me to work my hands even more freely and allow better feel of the controls than some standard non-riding gloves I've had would have.

These gloves are absolutely the second best thing I've ever bought pertaining to riding. #1 is the busa, #2 are these gloves. 'Course the Pit Bulls come in a close third.

So I go to buy a pair and the black are all sold out in my size. What do you do with an Orange bike. Do you think they make Orange gloves? LOL

Yeah, I guess it does kind stink tryin' to find matching gear with the 40th. Never thought about that when I was lookin' to buy one... :super:

Hey Lazer, Buy the lightest pair you can find then take them to a leather shop and see about having them Dyed maybe? Just a thought, OR...You can buy leather paint...Maybe not the best idea for the whole glove but you could do some of the non flexing area's and maybe get decent results...Otherwise....Get on the stick a little faster Next Time Uncle Rev, throws a cookie out there... :D Kidding Kidding...That orange is going to be hard to find. Icon makes their Ti-Maxx glove in all white though, that could be a good place to start. I have paint all over my Riding leather and the painted ares still look fresh after a couple of years...Good Ole, Leather Paint...

Not a bad idea thurr Rev. I thought about that but didn't post it. (I know... Yeah right!) Didn't figure he'd ever find orange dye. I'm sure somebody could spray 'em black though, if that what he wants. Some of the leather dyes work well and are pretty tough... some are crap. The prep work is the biggie. Gotta really know what yer doin', or be really lucky to pull off a nice leather dye job.
