My son has an '05, so it's nice to have another bike around to compare when you think you might have a problem.
The '06 has developed ticks and rattles. Some of it goes away after it gets warm, some of it doesn't.
What doesn't go away sounds like an exhaust leak or a noisy valve. The harder I run the bike, the noisier it seems to get as time goes by. Sometimes I can hear the tick on deceleration or steady throttle even with my lid closed tight.
I know the Busa is a noisy bike. I've been telling myself that as the bike seems to get louder and louder.
It runs fine even though, so it's been hammer down.

The Q is do I go to the "gulp" dealership now, or just keep going to see what happens? I still have 9 months of warranty.
My maintainance records are all in order, so how can I go wrong, right?

i had my 06 checked when i took it for the 600 mile service. sounds like your's has the same ticks/noises that mine has. the mechanic at the dealership rode and checked it out, and said it was normal. all bolts and nuts were tight (he did check each of them). he told me that i had one of the most quiet hayabusa's he's checked out in a long time. i've put 2000 miles on it since and all is still well. (by the way he is one of best m/c mechanics i've ever worked with, so not your typical run of the mill guy .) my quess is it's probably normal, but if you have it checked and something is wrong. let us know.

Take it to the dealership. If nothing is wrong oh well, but if there is something wrong you can take care of it early enough as not to make it worse if you wait 'till the last minute.

The hot weather will give you a few more weird sounds than normal, at least mine does. Wouldn't hurt to have the dealer check it out.

take it in and start a paper trail. If something big goes wrong later you have proof that you started looking into it early.
