Tar on tires!

Well! They did our road the other day and when I came back home it was wet tar going across the road going into my coltersack. Now I have tar and small rocks on both of my tires. Is there anything that I can use to remove it? Would heating it up with a heat gun do any damage to my tires? Thanks in advance for your replies and advice.

Go to the auto parts store and get a couple cans of Brake Cleaner...spray it on a rag and wipe down the tires.

Take it for a spin and go easy on the tires.

Kerosene will take it off, and you can clean your chain with it while your at it.
