.  THE ONLY PERSON THAT GETS ON MY BUSA IS MY BROTHER AND THATS ONLY BECAUSE IF HE'S ON MINE I'M ON HIS.  OTHER THAN THAT YOIU CAN'T EVEN SIT ON MY BIKE.

I let my Son ride mine a couple of times, drove me out of my mind.

Anyone else can go get jumped...I got no problem saying NO!!
Yea my son wanted to ride mine right after I got it in December, while were on xmas vacation, he's 21 and started begging to ride. Hes' ridden dirt bikes etc but not hi-po street bikes. And he would only drive cautiously until he got out of my sight. So I start getting weak and thought well maybe I should let him, then I came to my senses and said hell no, lets see, kid hurt in hospital, new bike ruined, and the insuing family drama at Christmas. So it was "No-way-hose~"

I let a club member ride my busa once, and he stayed gone so long until I got nervous. I've never riden any one else's bike.

IMO - nope. Sorry. Luv ya too much for a stupid bike to get in the way... nope. nope. nope. (Even though - I let my 2 buds ride it.) I won't do it anymore. Nope.

Everybody has there own opnion on this, but personally, I don't let anyone ride my bikes period.

First off let me just say if you asked anyone of my friends they would tell you that I would give the shirt off my back to ANYONE.......Now with that said,

What do YOU do when someone (a friend) asks to ride your bike ? I let my friend one time ride it, and he said he was going to take it down the street, and back, so that's what I thought he was going to do. After 25 min.'s I started getting that sick feeling in my stomach. 40 min. later when he pulled up I was in a sweat !!! When he pulled up I was kind of upset, and he said "why were you so worried, you have full coverage" ? Well my insurance is already $290.00 a month because I reported it stolen last year. An accident would KILL ME !! And that right there tells me if something would happen, he wouldn't pay for it, right ?
Man, I won't even ride other peoples bikes, that I'm riding with. I know they are just machines, but I love my bike. And he keeps hinting around to me about letting him take my bike on a ride sometime, I think he's talking for like the day ?

Am I being petty ??
While I used to let my freinds that were good riders take my bike for a spin, namely because they allowed me to do the same with thiers, I don't do it anymore.

I tell them flat out No. I don't ride their bike, I don't want to ride their bike, only person that rides my bike is my mechanic, THE END. If they keep hounding me, I let them know they're beginning to piss me off. If they're a freind they stop. If not, well they still stop but don't make too much contact with me anymore. No prob since I don't waste time with fakes and scrubs anyways.

Truth is too many things can go wrong on the road these days. Especially on a bike. One has to really know what they're doing and someone, even a skilled rider, joyriding on a freinds machine that obviously is going to feel alien to them is at a serious disadvantage.

IF you are comfortable and have the coverage to protect you and replace your machine in the event your freind gets in a horrific accident that they may be permanently injured or killed in and you can live with that without saying to yourself the rest of your life "If only I didn't let him/her take my bike out for a ride.." then by all means hand them the keys. Maybe rent your bike out to them for a day or so. I myself don't have that kind of coverage and even if i did, could not deal with the emotional hardships if anything small or big happened.

Peace of mind is one of the best freinds you can have in Life.

What's funny is, he's my close friend,(FOR LIKE 15 YEARS) he just don't have the $$$ to fix it, and isn't that skilled either. What's REALLY funny is I wouldn't have ANY problem letting people from here, that I have ridin with (LCB, Busa sweety's, Busafette, or Jessup) take my bike for a spin. Why ? I don't know, maybe because I've seen them ride, A BUSA, and you can just tell the kind of person they are, right from the gate.......GOOD PEOPLE !!!
For one, your buddy isn't much of a buddy taking your bike out longer then he said. Who knows what he did with it??

As for letting anyone here ride it or fellow busa riders because you think you can tell what kind of people they are and seem to be good respectable people, that's all good and alright, but in my previous post i was writing from knowing someone that shows up at the most unexpected times, usually when i'm not careful or proactive about matters such as what we are discussing: Murphy's Law. If you don't know him, he'll most likley get to know you when you least expect it.

In other words, don't let anyone short of a dealer mechanic ride your bike. Even that's a risk if the dealership is crap.
