the 05 busa?????

I don't see any changes coming, maybe some different materials to lighten the bike a little. You have to remember that there isn't only R&D costs but machining costs and training to build the new parts. Would be cool to see if they would make a Special Edition GSX1300RR, with some special suspension bits and some lightweight parts to drop the weight 30 pounds or so.

i cant say this is true or not but i met a guy at a shop here in clearwater and he told me and a couple other guys that within 2 years well see a 1500cc 200hp version of the busa. i was picking up a pc3 and my friend talked to him longer an the story was that his brother works for suzuki r & d and said that it is coming and dont expect it to look the same or weigh the same. now this is kinda 3rd hand so who knows but just about all of us would be too slow and buying new bikes!seems to me if its gonna go 200hp well see some crazy torque and if its lighter that will be scary!

Discovery Channel on the most exotic bikes had a suzuki spoke person comment about the Hayabusa and stated it had a "bright future."

I really don't think they will increase CCs on the bike at all... Why increase the CCs on the bike, when they can tune the block they have and get lots more output.

Look it all the output the 10r is getting with a 1000cc engine. Although the Busa has more torque which is probably due to the larger displacement, I think Suzi would probably stick to the same 1300cc engine and simply modify it...

Naturally, I am only speculating like everyone else...

tuning the block is one thing but why not switch the head completely and either add valves or make them bigger, open it up a bit, maybe chang cams, ect... isnt that where the 1k bikes are getting there power? head design?
plus seems to me it would be rediculous for a company who has had the fastest production motorcycle since it has mattered woul let it go so easily. im sure honda would love to say they have the fastest. it sells more bikes, not just that one, its name recognition. basically, if they dont keep up, might as well switch to someone who cares(if speed is what you got your busa for)the busa is fat and its real fast which is why its cool. fat and slow is just a vrod! sorry my 3 cents

If there was competion with the Busa (so far only the 12) then I could see Suzuki doing something to improve. comparing it to a 1000 is like saying the the busa is a road racer. it isn't and never ment to be. that is why it is a GSX1300R and not a GSXR1300. Two different class bikes

Hey Busa2005...what kind of bike do you ride?

Are you one of those people who go around talking about getting next years model because it's going to be better than this years?

I've got friends like that, always gonna get that next year model truck, sports car or bike. Next year comes around and once again they're going to wait around because the following year promises to be better. Stacks of magazines with talk about what the future may hold is all they're worried about...while a Dodge Minivan reigns king of their garage.

I'll tell ya what the 05 might have in store...new colors and maybe something like self cancelling turn signals.

As far as that POS KS1200:

It weighs slightly more than a Busa
It's shaped like an ugly brick
It has less HP than a Busa
It's SHAFT DRIVE (even less HP yet to the rear wheel)

This "Busa Killer" talk is laughable.
It probably won't even be competition to a '96 Blackbird.

Wouldn't it be great if they incorporated the rear turn signals into the tail section and dropped a few pounds, like a single exhaust! Some items that Suzuki has already been studying on other models.  Would make sense for it's fastest street bike to have these features. With metric bikes equaling the busa in horsepower it will almost be mandatory for them to lose weight or increase horsepower.

you won't get the signals in. ever wonder why our signals stick out???

Thanks our Goverment. there is a minumum distance between they must be apart I think it is 16"or 19"

The rumors will never stop, best not to even talk about it until suzuki comes out with it.  Oh, I know, everybody has a source.  Everybody had a source last year too.  And I am hearing the same rumors this year as last year!!
