the 05 busa?????

Why would they do a 1500cc when the 1300 is already limited it dont make sense. If 1300 is the baddest on the street "limited", why not expand what you already have, not spend money and time on something you are going to have to limit anyway. If they want them to go faster remove the limit.
It makes me wonder if Suzuki new the speed limits of the Z12 and made theres just a little faster. When Kawi becomes the fastest they will remove the limit and still be KING OF THE HILL.

I think some of us here are living in 99. There is plenty of bikes that will hang with the busa. The limited top speed isnt the point. These new bikes that weight 390 lbs with 160ish rwhp can give the busa all it can chew. Id love to see zuki crank up the mill to at least 175 rwhp and find a way to drop at least 50 lbs.

Tell me, where did you see an R1 beat a busa, Im from EL Paso. Please, enlighten me.
I just returned from the local dealer, the owner just returned from the dealers meeting and show. He says the show was centered around dirt, atv and big (fat) cruiser markets. No word about the sport bike segment at all. As a matter of fact, he said the lead Suzuki guy there became so sick of being poked and prodded about the sport bike changes he stopped one of the sessions and told all present to quit asking because he wouldn't even speculate, if they wanted to, please take it out in the hall....according to him, the world will find out at the same time. Good gravey, there's more facts slipping out about the F-22 fighter.....they must have something up their sleeves. I hear they might unveil the urban warfare version, ya know, the armored camo-busa with fairing mounted mini gun....sign me up!
Well today i stopped by my local zuki dealership for they're thursday night rides. (only five people showed) :fag: I got there about an hour early cause i like shootin the poop with the guy's. lo and behold ........ they're suzuki rep was there!! YES!! minute i walk in the door they tell the rep (Dave) to talk to me. i met him, very nice guy with an english accent. he used to work on the suzuki emgo machines for 10+ years till the opening for the rep. position came available. he turned down the opportunity to ride my bike because of liability. he said if it had a work order on it for something he could. well the suzuki shop whipped one up and dave was still reluctant to ride it :fag: he said he would come down later this summer and spend the night in the area and do it then, (plus he had a suit and tie on)
picked his brain about the 05' bikes. :be: he said for sure that the new 1k will have roughly 20+hp. and he only had some rumors for the bus. he said it WILL go through a design change with the plastics. and i said "I hear that the block will have more meat on it for big bores, like 1500cc or something" he smiled and said "It's not goin to be a 1300cc for 05' from what i hear, it might be a 1400-1500cc from what i gather" he DID say rumors, but when i told him i plan on selling my bike to get a 04' he HIGHLY recommended waiting till 05', "you'll be mad if you get a 04' now and dont wait" :bn:
dave was a super kool guy, he had a chevy van with a GSXR 750 in it, it was one of the old emgo motors before they went to the liter's. he had tons of pieced together parts from tons of bikes and superbike parts from when he worked on the team. he said that he collected tons of parts when he worked on the race teams. and that he has a garage full of parts for gixxers, he get's to keep many of the parts from the suzuki warranty programs. he's instructed to "dispose" of them, but he said he just keeps collecting and building his own bikes out of various parts.
well, just .02 worth of hype but you gotta keep the carrot infront of the horse right??
