I paid AU$1.99 a ltr today for our BP98 Premium.
That’s US$1.23 / ltr so about US$7.50 / US Gallon.
I’m often told by Americans how expensive that is but it’s not really comparable, our countries are very different. The worst paid labourer or waitress is on $24.10 (US$15 / hr) all workers get an extra 11% on top of their wage paid into a pension fund, there’s a good public health service etc. I retired on an employer funded pension at age 59.
No one’s really happy paying $2 a ltr, lower grade fuel and diesel in my other vehicles is cheaper though, but life go’s on and it doesn’t seem to be a big deal here. Still way cheaper than siphon I lived in the UK.
