I'm def interested in the B as it sort of appeals but not in a I-need-to-own you sort of way like happened with the Busa

I have both a 08 busa and a 02 1k. I switch riding them every other day. I agree the 1k is smaller and taller then the busa. I agree with Trevor the busa brakes feel wooden compared to my 1k. I even agree that the busa for longer rides is more comfortable. I am at 5' 8" tall and 185lbs. But, the 1k takes the cake when the roads get twisty or small. But, it is still a screamier!!! But the busa has it on the top side of W.O.T!!!!

p.s a first service here (std price) is 200 Euro - dare to convert that to dollars

Someone told me there was a 100hp limit on bikes in Germany and France, is this true or is it just BS?

Anyways, nice bike, and that Arai is a looker

Superb brakes and obviously a LOT of lbs less makes this one mean handling bike

Busa's brakes seems wooden by comparison - dread to think of how bad the pre-k8s were but comapred to this baby the Busa wouldn't stand a chance in the braking stakes

So far ;  Busa 3 GSXR 1
I agree with you on the brakes, I don´t know what the f*** Suzuki were thinking, they are absolutely horrible compared to my ´06 ZX-10R.
I´m hoping the steel-lines I orderd today will make a difference

Dear Trevor

Thanks for the report and the images!

The bike looks like a pit bike with you on it.

This is no joke: I sat on the 2008 GSXR1000 with both feet on the pegs, sat on the 'Busa, and then bought the 'Busa later in the day. That GSXR felt so cramped compared to the 'Busa. I'm six feet tall and weigh 270 pounds.

Thanks again for the report!
Thanks Jaddie

I'm the same height as you so I know what you mean for sure. There really wasn't much deliberation to do when I first sat on them both in the showroom in January - still appreciate the extra Busa cubes - as they say - there is no substitute

When My R1 was in the garage getting repaird ( NO NOT ME ) somebody reversed into me in a small delivery van. I had a Gix 1000 for 2 weeks as a loan bike through the insurance.

God help who ever buys that bike I had it permantly screaming and on the back wheel ( well abused ) but what a great bike to have fun on

Totaly agree with Trev on its bad points.

Man that looks good , small with you on it ! But what a nice bike !

Don't be fooled by a casual afternoon putt around the neighborhood. In proper hands that Gixxer is absolutely "EVIL"!

I have borrowed a number of bikes from my dealer. Great family business and if you are a loyal customer, they will bend over backwards to accomodate you.

I have an 06 1000 and its knife in the canyons   just amazing to me compared to my busa in that regard however its a real nut buster thats for sure    im going to oregon again soon and wouldent do it without the busa
sometimes i ride both bikes in the same day and when i get off the 1000 and on the busa i feel like i just hopped in the caddy

There is a 100hp limit in France and Belgium(i know;i live in belgium).A decade ago that was also the case in germany.

By cutting a wire from the ecu, the Suzuki comes back alive

Like the Caddy analogy

SS brake lines, HH pads, and wave rotors take care of the braking problem.
