The election is over

Highest is moot; very brief period. 28% does mean something, matches almost every other product, a product of the pandemic, so we’re calling the pandemic Biden’s fault? Just trying to keep this discussion charted.
You are obviously an athlete; you don’t give up.
Einstein, you may want to figure out supply and demand. When people get sick and can’t ride their scooters, planes or blow their hooters, they use less gas. When supply exceeds demand, prices go down.

The reason gas prices hit an all time high had nothing to do with Covid. And the reason gas prices declined during Covid, but then started increasing again, a little, was manipulation which could have been prevented by the Administration.

I can tell you why gas prices hit an all time high in 2022, but now that would be no fun, would it now?

Flashpoints in 2023 did lead to a spike, and prices were restored quickly. The financial crisis and Covid both caused spikes. Prices are back to where they should be, although it doesn’t help you prove your intelligence.

What the f…

That’s a hell of a weakness but at least you acknowledge it. That’s step one.
Hi. Somethings just keep goine up. 3 or 4 weeks ago eggs were $1.04 for a 1/2 doz. to day $2.12 ?

When I use to visit our factory in Toronto, I always looked at house prices in the local paper. Scary stuff.
When I was posted to the HQ in Toronto, people were buying the old wartime houses on a postage sized lot for (then) $550k only to tear down the house and build a McMansion in it's place, the houses take up the entire lot.....

I recall going for a run through an old subdivision one evening where there was only one old wartime house left.....an elderly couple lived in it and were in no hurry to leave it. I saw them out gardening so I stopped to talk to them, they moved into the home when the old guy returned from the war and have lived there ever since I forget what he said he paid for the house but I think it was sub $1000. Talk about a mark up.....

About 4 years ago there was a new subdivision built near ours, these houses are all on a 1 acre lot and are on well and septic....none of the houses in that subdivision cost over $400k to buy...one just sold for $1.1 million and it has zero curb appeal as far as I and many others are concerned, there is no real landscaping.....

I just don't know how people are affording these prices....

Many young people are only going to own a house if it is willed to them by their parents but even our government is trying to quell this by implementing a huge capital gains tax....

Hi. The govermnent should not out to screw the people. In the long run the people should own the govermnent. We do not work for them they work for us. The dems just found that out in thr good old USA.

We all need to move to MO, go ride with Red, where nothing changed.
Oh Jelly. You are a different person since the election. It's fascinating. You asked me if my life is better than 4 years ago, not if prices changed.
You have become a giddy, silly person, but I'm happy for you. Sincerely. I don't take pleasure in other's misery. It's not a talent that I picked up.
By the way, you couldn't keep up. We're a little quicker in the Ozarks.
