The election is over

Yes, It really sucks that a president could cut taxes and make a border much more secure than it is now.

What about foreign policy deals that make trade with other nations better for the USA?

Besides...
Who would want lower energy prices anyways? that would simply be wrong.... right? Why didn't Biden keep oil drilling production up under the current administration?

How has your favorite choice of an administration been doing with the oath and promises they were suppose to keep?

You must approve of sanctuary states and cities where the federal immigration laws that were written to maintain order and safety for USA citizens that are now ignored and or violated.

Looks like it's time for another pandemic / or crisis of sorts so mail in voting and other ways of cheating with ballot manipulation can take place.
The biggest issue with Trump..........is Trump himself.........all the attention he has gotten so far has been brought on by himself.......he just can't help himself...I still say that if he would have just shut his mouth and did his job while in office, he would most likely still have been there....

The democrats and republicans both don't have a very viable front runner but people will most likely gravitate towards Harris because they are sick and tired of Trump.........the republicans brought this on themselves by not finding a decent front runner to replace Trump-who they needed to boot out but didn't....

Here in Canada, we have Trudeau who is a combination of Biden and Harris....the downside of our politics is there is no limitation as to how many times he can get re-elected......and we are more than due for him to be replaced so I feel the pain of the American people.

Canada like the US is in real trouble with no light at the end of the tunnel.....

The large increase in border crossings started and actually peaked in 2020, for various reasons, but keep in mind Trump was still in office until November that year. As far as taxes, I haven't cleared the $400,000 level the tax increase applies to, and the same goes for most people. Trump says he doesn't plan to cut Social Security, but conveniently lets the math not add up.

How is the order and safety of citizens jeopardized? Are we going to have the discussion of the relevance of crime among immigrants again? Just like American citizens, illegal immigrants are working and paying taxes, helping the economy.

You and Blanca and I just keep talking in circles.

I take it you don't hear about the 85,000 children that are missing so far. You don't hear about the rapes ( under wear hanging on bushes around the border areas ) and murders on women traveling to the USA. You don't hear about the senseless murders committed by illegals inside this country. Border policy has a lot to do with this... Title 42, remain in Mexico and other key points acts as a deterrent to illegal entry into the USA.... but those crimes mean nothing to you if those illegals come here and somehow find employment and start paying taxes.

Don't know where you got those illegal immigration numbers... but... if you are looking to blame Trump for it... I get it... TDS once again.

Well.... it doesn't really matter who is in charge anymore. As far as Trump's popularity goes... You might not be noticing how many people show up where ever he speaks. TDS is real... the masses are easily swayed to take a juvenile position of polarity to a person whomever it might be. Other examples like Hillary, Comey, Shiff and many others are also very polarizing to the masses based on how effective the MSM propaganda is at feeding a negative narrative.

You only have to evaluate the effects of policy mandates and other functions of government where EO's are used to shape the rules and laws that are taking effect. Biden signed over 90 EO's the 1st day or two in office... many of them he was unaware of what those EO's were intended to do. What kind of leadership is that?

You might note that I'm not defending Biden either......

The bottom line of all this is.......the next election will be a disaster for the US regardless of who gets into office as both candidates are not good for the job.

Look it up illegals are less prone to commit crimes than legal residents or American citizens. It’s the truth.

I’m not saying it was worse in ‘20 than now, but the upswing, the reason people are desperate to enter the country, began in ‘20. I’m not blaming Trump. The blame falls on the leaders of the other countries that let the situation get so bad in their own backyards.
What we don’t agree on is the amount of empathy we should have for illegal immigrants.

It’s over, Biden will be the new captain of the ship.

The only thing left now is the noise, which will be healed by time.

I always support and respect authority in leadership, so let’s hope for the best.

Let’s hope we are not four years closer to the Chinese Yuan becoming the new reserve currency with hyper inflation following. And let’s hope immigration is kept in check so we don’t become like the UK who totally lost their culture and identity.
I liked this post 4 years ago, and still like it now. After a covid induced wave, inflation is under control, the American dollar still reigns, immigration remains a problem. A man that a year ago was against immigration reform, is all in when it's his baby. Do what you have to do, Mr President Elect..

Green energy, take a picture next time you fill up with gas at $1.99 and look at it again four years from today.
National average today is $3.03, $2.39 in Springfield MO this morning. By the way, the national average when you posted that was $2.19.
Not exactly earth shattering. When you talk of Armageddon with the 3 branches red, keep in mind that you might be wrong again.

Stupid I can take, but dealing with an idiot is a little harder.
LOL now there's something that doesn't change!

I'm always amazed at how people look at ONE PERSON only.

The President has a cabinet, with 15 Executives, each running their own department, there is the senate and the house. The president relies on them for advice, manages them, teamwork, and it is a major team effort including the house and the senate. Biden did not meet with his cabinet (management team) for almost a year and when he did, his wife chaired the meeting. Where was the Vice President?

The new Administration is left with rather a big mess to clean up, but even the My Pillow guy can do better than the previous Administration.

In the end, it will all be OK, if it is not OK it is not the end.

Some of us went to school, we were taught not to look at a single data point when working with statistics. Yep your last quote in post 1268 is my greatest weakness, as in this moment.

In a normal presidency this might be true but not in a Trump presidency where he ignored or fired his executives at will.....

We'll see what happens and go from there........

He made a lot of bluster and promises, now it will be time to see if he upholds them.

I kind of look at who and why he fired them, and must say, I have similar experiences in my past life, folks hated me for it, and were very bitter, but the job got done well. This I will give to you, what he did to Mike Pence is unforgivable.

Yep, Red and I are keeping score, are you in?

Some of those promises were politics, both sides made promises. Let's hope he has some success on some of them, but realistically, some of those will be an attempt to achieve the impossible. Like ending a war in his first day in office, for example.

Flashpoints in 2023 did lead to a spike, and prices were restored quickly. The financial crisis and Covid both caused spikes. Prices are back to where they should be, although it doesn’t help you prove your intelligence.

That’s a hell of a weakness but at least you acknowledge it. That’s step one.

OK, you win. Some of us paid fuel levies on goods and services, but seriously that graph shows an interesting picture. See if you can find one which includes 2024 to make it complete.

Just saying, at one point prices were up 100%. Those were 12 month averages BTW, no quick restore.

You know how this was done right, for 2024?

If I look at the map, and how bias you are, perhaps you should change your handle from "Red" to "Blue". Just a thought.

Probably a good sign, for all of us here, let's see if me and Blanca can behave, it might be rather a challenge.

Bias? Gas prices went from $2.19 to $3 in 4 years. I would stick to immigration if I were you.
My first Busa was red and black

$2.14 - $3.95 lowest to highest.

(3.95-2.14)/2.14*100 = 84.85%

Averages Trump term = (2.14 + 2.42 + 2.72 + 2.60)/4 = 2.47

Averages Biden Term = (2.17 + 3.01 + 3.95 + 3.52)/4 = 3.16

(3.16 - 2.47)/2.47*100 = 28%

From the graph, we can debate, if a 28% price hike means nothing to you, it does to me. If you look at current prices, after an election stunt to tap reserves, in my book it is called cheating, in yours it is called OK.

Highest is moot; very brief period. 28% does mean something, matches almost every other product, a product of the pandemic, so we’re calling the pandemic Biden’s fault? Just trying to keep this discussion charted.
You are obviously an athlete; you don’t give up.
