**The OFFICIAL TEAM GIXXER smacktalk thread**

Yep, that was a good watch. I like the part where he talks about the need to be able the trail brake on the street vs. the track. All I can think about is how many times people go into a turn too hot...only to grab a hand full and stand her straight up. (the off road adventure starts right after this.) The Dragon and the Skyway have claimed their fare share for all their curves.

Keith, this is me chasing you in October..fast forward to the 15:30 mark and see what happens... because you better get used to that happening :moon:

I kind of like the 8:09 part my self. I was ticked chasing that BMW guy from the 6:xx and change cluster going into turn 1. The 6:36 pass by BMW guy was reckless. He should not have passed there.

Same session from my cam. Anybody got skills to overlay these side by side?

I ended the session in front of you....:poke: watching skydivr, second gear is going to become my friend this year.

Seems silly, but you can "learn" the track before you ever roll wheel on to her.

Let's just say I was exploring the limits of braking on the Q2.... and leave it at that. You can see my cam jogging into the turn...(to quote GP) my ambition was out weighing my talent at that point. Not too proud of that, but I was chasing the pure evil Mr. BMW guy.

Blow turn 5 much around the 10:30 mark?? :poke:

First - what good what it have done if I had run off and left you? Then no video :moon:
Second - You can obviously see that I was getting slowed by TRAFFIC :moon::laugh:

Third - I WANTED you to get that close because I hadn't had that view yet :moon:

Seriously, that's the first time I'd seen your camera's view Charlie. I've really got to work on putting my head down that was pitiful. And yes, both of you will outbrake me and dive thru traffic that I won't.

And yes, that was your front tire telling you to knock that crap off :watching:

No more Soup for You!

I was paying attention to that same thing and am going to have to try it. I have a few times before and I have always felt like i have to shift at points of the track where I will get real squirley when rolling back on the throttle...... For example, coming out of turn 5 right as you top the hill banking to the left is where i need to shift into third and I have enough trouble keeping the back end setlled there in the first place

Will definately be experimenting on Saturday

You mean topping the rise coming out of Charlotte's Web? Yep, I have same problem, front end wants to come off the ground and I have hit the rev limiter just as it settles. Adding those two teeth may make you hit it earlier which is why I only added one. Good thing about being in a lower gear/higher rpm is you are less likely to kick the rear out as your aren't in the strong part of the torque curve. That one 'break' you've seen me have is because I was in third and not second.

P.S. Charlie, I adjusted my idle like Tuf suggested. Doesn't take very long at all just have to lift tank. I've also been sticker ho'ing some more, ought to be worth a couple more seconds :)

Yea that's where I am talking about. When in 2nd gear and I hit the rise it is front end lifting, rear end squiggling, and almost hitting rev limiter in 2nd so trying to shift into 3rd all at the same time.....

I am going to try the whole 2nd gear thing but I have never (knock on wood here) had the rear skip out in 3rd gear... I guess that just means I am a pansy on the throttle :banghead:

So what is an idle adjustment supposed to do to help?

What's really bad is, I don't have a covered trailer, and it's pouring down right now :moon:
