Jay and Charlie, sorry about Sunday. I'm pretty sure the alarm went off, but I didn't hear a thing. I'll definitely catch you guys next time.
I've got about 500 mountain miles on the 14R's first set of Q2s. Even with the traction control turned on, I'll be very surprised if they last much more than 1000 miles. This bike is going to enjoy a steady diet of Dunlops. I need to go ahead and get some more on the way.
Very nice! I was wondering what kind of speeds you'd see in Atlanta. Got any video?
In fact I need a set now!

Bike Bandit is the place to shop for Q2's right now
It is a shame you guys live 15hours away. I would love to ride with you guys and have some fun!
Yeah, but you haven't seen the video yet
Yes, money was refunded. ToBefast took care of me. I lost interest some what after that experience. Then BigE and Blanca pointed me to another option. But they were out of stock. They didnt know when that shipment would arrive. So, I have been waiting like them for when it arrives.....lease:

Dan the Q2s will last about 1500 miles tops with mountain riding. 2011 bash I came out on a new set of Q2s and with in 5/6 days of 129 riding, 28 riding, and a trip to blood mountain. The Q2s were done with no rain grooves left. I even had a few spots on the front tire were the ply was starting to show. But I ride my busa easily! I still feed it a steady diet of Q2s. In fact I need a set now!
I will be ordering my Q2s very shortly!!!
Thanks, Keith. That sounds great.
Tim, I was getting about 1500 from Q2s on the Busa, but this bike seems to be even harder on them. We weren't especially hard on them last weekend, but they are still very noticeably worn after the first 500 miles. They make the 14R feel like a whole new bike though. The Metzelers that came with it were crap on dry pavement and just plain scary in the rain.
It looks like I need to start keeping more tires in stock.
Here's an unedited session from RA on Sunday.
After reviewing, I am leaving a lot of throttle (and laptime):
- track just drying
- never ridden there before
- I'm just a chicken
Best laptime was a 1:51:10. Speedo crossed 170 indicated on the back straight. I'd definitely like to ride it again, and I think I could gain 3-5 secs without too much danger.

P.S. I did the Disalvo school on Saturday. It was good for a one-day review about body-positioning and some video feedback, and seeing the line, but if would have been a waste for two days. His standalone school, where they do drills, might be something to attend but I'm not sure. Another benefit was that his Ohlins factory tech was there, and reset/checked your suspension for free. He did quite a bit of ajusting on mine, and it really seemed to help the 'chippiness' on braking and made the turn-in smoother. I'm not good enough to provide more definitive feedback than that, but I was glad for the adjustments. I have a sheet of my stock settings and the modified settings to keep, and was encouraged to play with them a little - the suspension is a moving target, just like trying different tires, brake pads, ect., not something that is fixed once and stays they same for you forever....
Bam...
Excellent! You must have bought them out of something because mine are shipping from separate locations.
