**The OFFICIAL TEAM GIXXER smacktalk thread**

Keith, I hope you have some regular Q2's mounted on your back up rims in case of #&!* this weekend as those slicks will be less than grippy in damp conditions

yep, i've got a set on my spare rims for just that eventuality...might be another month before I get a chance to show you up :)

Good luck down there... Hopefully the mess will pass over tonight and you'll be able to get some good laps in tomorrow.

Never rode with a drop of rain all weekend. (No Chunky Charlie suit) The track was wet Saturday am, but dried before lunch. The dew / fog was THICK on Sunday and had the track wet again, but it dried up nice and turned some great laps on Sunday as well.

Had a great weekend with Skydivr and brought mine home just as she left here...so it was a win for the weekend. Had a good friend down there that biffed it in turn one only to go back out after some quick repairs and burn in pretty hard again coming on to the front straight. He faired ok, but the same can't be said for his bike!

I'm in. I'm not sure that Sandy will be up for a Magellen ride first time out on the Wing, but I'll go!

Remember, they call me 5 state Nunnelly, daylight to midnight. And I have 5 states on the route. :D Talk to you later in the week. :) Now, back on topic.

Glad everyone came back in one piece  .. Wish I could've been there

Who was it that crashed?

John was the unfortunate one. On the first crash he went into the kitty litter on turn 1 from a wet spot that he hit. Not sure about the second one, but Keith said he had no fear and was running just as hard after the first crash. But twice in one day...ouch.

We missed you for sure.

That's who I thought you were talking about... He definitely rides without fear!

I'm waiting for Keith to put up a pic of his new lap record :)

Glad you guys had a good weekend. NOW, are you ready for an epic ride next Saturday? :D

I really wish I could make it this weekend... I am working at Lowe's PT through the middle of August to help fund some things (race suit, race paint, dirt bike, etc) and unfortunately since it's memorial day weekend, I am working Saturday AND Sunday!!! :banghead:

John crashed once on Saturday, and once on Sunday Charlie:

Saturday: Went wide on turn one (like he likes too) without making one full lap to look for wet spots, and ran right over the one he didn't see and lowsided.

Sunday: Cresting the tunnel. He was following a guy running pretty fast and again lost the front (same front) - I told him he needed to burn that tire and never use it again.

Jay: I don't think I've got any new lap records to show you; it was just too wet in a few spots to really let let the big dog hunt. I put the NTEC's up and rode my half wore off set of Q2's instead. I do like my new rear shock it's much smoother on corner exit and I can get on the gas sooner. But, even with the track conditions what they were, I could run a 1:43 fairly consistently (and a couple of 1:42's); I haven't looked at my last session timer yet. It's just going to make it that much sweeter when it happens :)

Riding with the AMA racers was AMAZING. They are totally on a different planet than the rest of the A riders. They don't even notice you when they go around you. I did have this one moment coming down the back stretch when Benny Solis and Dane Wesby both side by side started to pass me, and for just a second I put the hammer down and kept my nose on them down the straight (until of course, they kept going when I started braking)...I WISH there was a PIC of that (no video this weekend I shoulda run my camera).

P.S. I did put a pass on both Cam Waters and Trevor this weekend and was pretty proud of myself showing them the EAT ME sticker; I know it's all bike but it was still FUN :)

Tomorrow's test ride???

Is there something we need to know here? :)

Eh, the old girl dropped a bit of coolant and ran a little hot on me the other day. So far the bets are that it was just from some air that I didn't get out at the coolant change, and finally made its way out of the system. I bled the system again and topped it off, so hopefully that's all there was to it. Since doing that I haven't been able to get it over 205 at idle, which is normal for this kind of weather.

What are you doing at Lowe's? I worked there one summer after high school in Building Materials. Carrying lumber and Quickrete all day is a heck of a workout program.

Hey Cam is one fast dude so congrats on that pass :)

Good to see you take it easy on a damp weekend. When September rolls around we will let the dogs out :)

Ok good! I sure hope that's all it is..

I am just working in the seasonal department with the mowers, weedeaters, grills, etc.... Probably a lot easier than carrying quickrete... But is actually pretty fun. And I like actually doing some walking rather than sitting at a desk like I do for my normal 40 hours a week :)

Yea just doing it this summer so I can spend a little money and stay married
