Beautiful after lunch sunny blue sky! Keith is too damn fast for me. All I can manage are 1:48s. Advance Sunday though. See if that helps. Charlesbusa said if I can beat his 1:46 he will come back to Barber(all the way from Denver)

I got too hot Saturday and just about made myself sick; feeling better today and weather a little cooler so far. It rained once in sesion bfore lunch yeaterday but was dry again shortly afterwards. No rain in forecast until tonight so day looks good.

Learned something else today; keeping ur body forward and over front tire really effects geometrey and helps for tighter entry and exit - now i understand Tufs "nuts to tank" admonitions..

I got home before midnight last night; I haven't called Emily yet this AM but will shortly. Left UAB ER about 8 PM. Broken Collarbone and C2 neck. No neck surgery necessary but don't know yet about collarbone. I am convinced he highsided at the top of turn 4, but not sure it if was just too much throttle, or he was suffering from heat exhaustion (I think some of both contributed). He does not remember and I haven't been able to review video yet.

Update: Emily says he had a pretty rough night. Needed a lot of pain meds which is keeping him from holding any food down. Until he can move to oral pain meds they can't release him so she thinks it will not be tomorrow. Sounds like no surgery on collarbone either at this moment. I'll talk to her later this afternoon.

Highside at the top of #4? Man... That's a really fast place to crash.

I never gave that spot a second thought aside from not really being able to see the left edge of the track until you crest the hill. That's just a section you have to learn through experience I think.

Yea and he has LOTS of experience there...... so something was definitely out of the ordinary
