There IS a difference between the 08 and 09

500 dollars more for 09????
hope they don't continue this trend every year because in 5 years you pay 15000 for busa?

yes OTD means everything included....

but 13k sounds really high

I got mine for 10.8K OTD

but i'm in FL

What OTD means varies by state. In MO, it is illegal for the dealer to pay tax, title, and tags. OTD price here is just what it will cost to roll the bike out the door without anything the state requires for registering it.

First post here on the .Org, and glad I found you guys! I'm currently in Iraq, so I'm stuck resorting to trolling forums and drooling over pictures of all your amazing rides, but I plan on purchasing a Busa once I get back to the states as a present for myself! Anyways, reason I thread jacked this is because someone mentioned Hawaii (where I'm stationed) for having high prices. My real home is CT so I was wondering, if the price difference is so bad, would it be worth going home and sending a bike bought in CT to Hawaii? Thanks for the help!

don't know how much shipping to hawaii is, that will decide if you can save money.
by the way :welcome: to the Org. and thank you for your service. :thumbsup: stay safe :please: and get home to start riding

"Economy" isnt gonna be the problem with sales, its gonna be trying to get a loan for it if you dont have the cash
I just bought a boat and even though me and the wife make over 300k/yr and have no damn credit card bills,it was still a song and dance to get approved and best loan rate was 8.99%...which is high, I have friends who cant even get loans and have cash in the bank.

:welcome: TO THE .ORG SIR :bowdown: As far as your question goes, i would think the price of transporting it back to hawaii would negate all money's saved on purchase :dunno: , might check into that!

recreational vehicles always harder to finance and higher rates regardless of how good your credit is. i guess they look at as not your primary transportation and easy to dump or get rid of.

Welcome to the ORG.:beerchug::war::usa:

Yah, that price you were quoted is too high. Also some bikes vib more than others. I got lucky on that account. But if I were starting from scratch I would sit on three or so diff bikes - if possible, start each one and rev it up (without going over doing it) and see which vibrates less, if any, and which one runs smoother -if any one does. Hope this helps.

It's basically a butterfly valve in the collector portion of the header that is partially closed at lower RPMs It's supposed to help with torque down low then open up for full flow at high RPM. Used on many GSXR's, it seems to reduce the noise more than anything else. But a primary tube designed to flow enough at 15000 RPM us likely too big for good scavaging velocity down low and this could help broaden or change the effect of the returning wave.

yamaha has that..Called a exup valve

Look closer bro, it also say's it has a LAGER Fuel tank(08=15.5gl 09=16.5gl?)..... i seriously doubt it ??? But im with you guyz, i HOPE it does, my 12r came with a 200mm rear tire, i loved the looks of it.....fact is, when i burn my stock tire off, a 200 Shinko going on :thumbsup:
