This is what happens when the wife leaves me.

Preparing bike for a paint job...Say goodbye to the stickers...At least of Suzuki origin...Wouldn't mind having some BST stickers, Brocks...you know...all the really expensive stuff stickers:laugh: Metal scrapper was just to get the edge started on the sticker after heat gunning it for a minute...it just happened to be the straight edge I saw first...there were some really funny lines posted about this adventure...especially..."my wife would be able to smell the happyness"....that is what makes this .ORG so fun for me is all of the Busaholics comments..2hip

That what a basement is for also, current projects going on...

and to think i am wasting perfectly good time laying new marble flooring.. sheesh..

At least it will be easier to clean the oil off the marble as opposed to my carpet...

 I tore down my year old 900F Honda in the kitchen of my apt... My wife of the time about had a heart attack...

Bike sure ran good for a 1002 Stage 3 Ontario MotoTek kit..

My wife left me. I put on my best game face and told her how much I would miss her this week:banana: She gave me a big hug and said I'll see you in a week and be a good boy:whistle: I kissed her tenderly and hung my head in mock sorrow...Then the fun started...if you say a word to her I will haunt you forever and request that the moderators ban you for "ratting me out"

Are you aware of how nice a big kitchen table is to work on when the wife-e is not around? It is warm in the house...plenty of light...music...beer and wine...you get the idea.

So, the pics show the work on the rear cowling disassembly...Everything bagged up and laid out...so much fun...I am having a blast and I haven't a clue but I just know this is gonna turn out good..unless she comes home unexpectedly...:please: 2hip

thats where the bacon came from:rofl:

I love it when you see people who just truly care for the welfare of their bikes!

Some great pics put up on this thread....It never ceases to amaze me the wit, characters, and misfits represented on this board...the really criminally insane ones are mostly on the eastern seaboard:laugh:2hip

So talk about the pinball machine restoration... always wondered what that would be like..

It is another hobby of mine, I own 12 and have restored over 40. Currently, I have access to 800 of them in a warehouse that a friend of mine owns. (Pinball Machines for Sale in Atlanta Georgia) He has every machine ever made from 1989 to 2001.

They are much easier to restore if you have the scematics to every machine ever made. Most of the issues are electrical in nature. The main problem is you can't get any of the PCB's anymore so you have to do board level repairs. Typically, it is the bridge rectifiers and capacitors that go out on the power driver boards on the Williams machines that were made between 1992 and 1997.

The other issue is finding parts in general. The only company still in business making machines is Stern. Which surprises me because Williams was pretty much the king of the good machines. Ebay is where I usually find the parts. There are a few companys around that make reproduction parts like ramps and replacement plastics.

If you are thinking of getting into it buy any machine made between 1991 or later. They have very good built in diagnostics which will help you fix alot of issues. Anything from 1989 to 1990 is a little more cryptic when it comes to the diagnostics. Before 1989 you need to be an electrical engineer and have a boatload of contactors on hand.

Wow! I need to start a complete thread for this...
