Is anyone using this machine??? review...:please: if you are.. read a thread on the search where they use a NoMar bar???

I went to get my tire changed my usual guy has been out of the shop so I went to the dealer .. 90.oo to mount the tire... Hopefully I can make it a little longer with the tire I have on, an get it to my tech... on Monday.

After a few searches I see the NoMar is a much better machine but also out of possible price range atm.

I don't have one but have seen a few guys here say they use it. I'm going to get one like that from Harbor Freight for around 100.00 the nomar cost around 800

Now I just use a big c clamp to break the bead and some tire irons to get the tire off. I've only done it twice now, and it only takes about twenty minutes.

I balance my own at home with 2 jackstands and a skinny dummy axle on roller bearings . Works very well , learned it all off youtube of course

I have the stand and it is a tough change on a high profile tire. The 190 section Busa tire I did not even try. I figure for 30 bucks installed with the wheel removed is well worth it at the dealer. I can change the front tire no problem using the machine.

Our club has one and it's a heck of a lot earier to use the no touch bar than to spoon a 190 off! Wardie

Don't waste your money on that one. I purchased one from Harbour Freight a few years back, and to say it was a pain to change tires is an understatement. I did get the tire changed with it, but was not something I would want to do regularly. I then purchased the Nomar changer and using that was like night and day. Very easy to do, almost made it fun.
I recently saw a review of a new tire changer that is supose to be as good as the Nomar but not quite as expensive (I have not priced it out though).
Here is a like to the review:

and one for the Nomar:

As for Tire balancing I now use Dynabeads to keep my tires balanced. No weights, no balancer needed and they work better than weights. My bike felt much smoother after installing them. Here is a link:

Hope this helps.

It's 90.00 hear not 30.00:whistle: I would have paid 40 50 but not 90 :banghead:

This guy at the dealer is going to break down one day or get arrested or his car impounded.... then he is mine  K arma has worked like that a few times:laugh:

I do not have the Cyclehill changer, I purchased the Nomar a couple of years back. I just read a review on the cyclehill and was rated quite highly so thought I would post it up here. I have not used one either so can't speak from direct experience. Also not sure what they go for. Don't remember exactly what I paid for my Nomar.

You'll need the stand as well. Just purchased that rig $127 TMD. Now I'm looking at the No-Mar Bar, another $110. About the same as four tire changes at the shop if I take the wheel in not the bike and I don't have to drive 80 miles round trip...

Beads and NoMar here as well.... I can do a tire front or rear in less than 5 min after its off the bike! That's without hurrying... :poke:

After looking at the CycleHill I couldn't help but wonder if it was a NoMar machine. Lots and lots of similarities.... So, after reading the article I discover it IS in fact a NoMar product! So, I"m sure its a very quality piece of machinery! The folks over at NoMar are top notch in my book. ALWAYS available to help with ANY question you might have!

Seems like the cycle hill big package compared to the similar nomar classic ultimate is about $240 cheaper.

The company I drive for uses those Dynabeads on our 18 wheelers and that stuff works awesome:thumbsup: Dont have to worry about weights falling off and as the tire wears it will rebalance itself, nice and smooth ride.
