Tire Fitment

I am getting ready to order a set of Avon Storm 2 ultra radials for my 2009 busa. I was running a 200/50 and 120/70 on my 2005. Is anyone using this same combo on a gen 2? Any fitment problems? Also I have heard that some riders are running a 130/70 up front. Any comments on the advantages or disadvantages of this setup would be appreciated. Seems to me turn in would be slower and I know the 200 slows things down a little already. Will post some pictures of my bike this weekend. Love my gen 2.

There is not much tire to fender clearance on the gen 2 to begin with, i think the 130 front would rub. They both would definitely slow your turn in speed too. Go with a stock front and a 190/55 rear.

Thanks for your reply Mestona. I see what you mean on the front fender clearance. I am wondering if the 200/50 would fit in the rear though. Looked great on my previous 05. I may do a stretch later and thought it would look better. Has anyone mounted a 200/50 on a gen 2?

From what I've read, you can use a 200 on the rear, but that's as big as you can go with the stock arm.

I know that's all the rim size will take too. I think I'll go with the 200 out back. I'm not into those extreme tire sizes anyway. Thanks.

I'll bet getting a 200 rear back on is gonna be a bioch not much room to work with...

Why do you want to go for a 200 rear and 130 front? it will slow down your turn and it might give you less grip as well? Stay stock sizes or go 190/55 on the rear if you want to speed up your turn ins.....

With the B-Kings its VERY common with anyone who has any sort of
ability to change the stock factory size 200/50 to a much better 190/55.

The only reason to keep a "200" is to impresses small boys with big numbers.

The only thing I would admit is the B-King is a longer heavier bike than its
little sister Mk2 Busa and therefor the benifits of different size tyres may
not be 100% identical for both.
