OEM Tires are just Fine.Whats the use of experimenting.Longevity varies depending the rider ,if this is the reason to change 'em.Concerning stability at high speeds (IMO ) they're the best by far
Same here, I've been using the MP 2CT on a sport bike since they came and been perfecly happy with them. Last year I got a new free front tyre though due to the massive recall of about 60.000 tyres Tyre recall: Pilor Power, Pilot Power 2CT
I'm currently running a MP 2CT front and a PR II rear since they were laying in the garage and needs to be used while fresh. It is a safe and well handling combo. Then there is a new set of stock BT015's on extra rims, which will be used before switching back to the favourite, Dunlop Roadsmart's.
I find the stock Bridgestone tires work very well. They don't last as long as aftermarket tires but they never let go of the pavement either. And the gen 2 on my 08 are even stickier than the gen1 version. I tried Michilens once and it felt like the front end was fighting the rear but maybe that was just me. I've been using stock ever since and no more high speed wobble problems.
I am on a new set of Pilot Powers. I like them much better than my stock tires. Also have a set of Dunlop Qualifiers waiting in the wings. Hopefully I will burn enough rubber to try them out this coming season.
