I've only seen one report of Jackson this week, when I happened to briefly pass by a TV in the office.

TV and the news media is trash, regardless of what 'story' they happen to be covering.

Since he was brought up, If Elvis just died it would be the same coverage and I'm pretty sure every media outlet was non stop Elvis when he did die.

When I feel like seeing it I watch it, when I don't I flip the channel; with 200+ I can find something other than MJ and with the internet if I need to find out any other world news on demand I simply hit any of the .coms and find a link.

I respect what MJ's creativity has done for the music business and all of the great songs Mike and J5 gave us. The guy has been making hits since he was like 7 seven years old, so he can have time for his fans to celebrate his career and his passing, everyone can't be in LA. If you don't like it turn the channel but don't pis in everyone elses chips because your not a fan of his.

side note I seriously doubt his memorial was 4 million dollars nobody released numbers but, it cost $2 million for the celebration that was given for the Los Angeles Lakers a couple of months ago and they had 500 thousand in attendance, Jacksons is in the Staple center which holds no more than 20K and they did not have a funeral precession.

I've been sick of hearing about it since about 10 minutes after they announced it. The guy is dead. like him or hate him....talking about him and putting constant news coverage on about him isnt going to elevate his status any, and it isnt gonna bring him back to life. Let it fuggin go already. Plus, 99.999% of these people obsessing over it never even met the guy, im sure.

The congressional idiots passed cap & trade and we are spending time with this! Give me a break. Sure he was a great entertainer but was no God, cmon allready.

+100, It's what current right now, as soon as something else happens they'll switch to that. Don't have a cow man.

The media over covers everything. I respect Jackson's great talent and contributions to the music industry. One kid, with parents that were later found to be dishonest, started it by making unsubstantiated claims against him, and now many label him a pedophile. There will always be plenty of people out to make an easy buck, but a talent like Michael Jackson comes along very rarely. May he rest in peace.

sorry...but MJ himself admitted to inappropriate behaviour with children, in a tv interview.

No apology needed, since you're apparently wrong. If you're talking about the interview he did for the British television documentary, he admitted to letting children sleep in his bed, much as their parents would let them if they had a nightmare or simply "couldn't sleep", as I as a parent can attest to. The interviewer quickly spun it into "inappropriate behaviour". It's behaviour not common in these days, but everyone has to allow the possibility that it was completely innocent, as he constantly claimed. Michael Jackson was very different than most people in his reasoning and the way he looked at the world. Hate him and find him guilty in your mind's court him if you feel the need, but don't mix up the facts.

a 40 year old man with children in his bed is not appropriate....i never said he abused them.

you can try and excuse with the typical "micheal is just a big kid" response...

i think it is wrong......

would you let your child sleep with him?

if he was the wierd guy down the block, it would not be accepted...however we allow it because it is MJ...

NAMBLA does not think what they do is wrong either...

Red I love ya and respect ya but in this case I gotta disagree. I think it is quite a leap to go from having your own kids crawl into bed to MJ letting other peoples kids sleep in his bed. My boys are 16 And 18 and I have no problem giving them a hug and a kiss in public but would it be appropriate for someone to do that to someone elses kids?

I don't think you can equate the relationship parents have with their kids to the warped relationship MJ had with the kids that came to neverland for a sleep over.
