Question, did you use anything like cauk to fill in the cracks between the sheets of plywood on the floor. What brand is the paint, and is it oil based?
No Hal, I did not caulk. The plywood joints were already flush to each other, didnt have a place for caulk. And the brand was American Tradition Non Skid, water base, not oil. I used the same paint on my 18' trailer, and it has lasted several years of abuse in the weather, so I didnt want to use the oil base. What are you thinking?
Looks great. The question about what type of paint had to do with the concern of smell inside the trailer when it gets hot with an oil base paint. with the non slip paint can be cleaned?

I wonder if I can convice my wife that I need to sell the 5x10 utility trailer and getting something enclosed.

You know I will have to go to Lowe's tomorrow and get some paint. I wanted to use the non-skid(with sand) paint in a blue for the floor and ramp.

Hal, what did you decide to do for your floor? Have you painted it yet?
I think I'm going to put tread plate aluminum on the ramp. I'm torn between what you used on the floor and Rino liner. I like the rhino liner deal but I think it is going to be expensive. How much paint didyou use on your floor?

I used almost a whole gallon, with two layers. I put it on pretty thick. Good thing I didnt use a oil base, didnt think about hot days the fumes! I used regular interior latex on the walls. Really brighten it up in there.

Oh hey, I forgot, they sell the roll on bed liner at lowes, you might look into it.

You all have some nice trailers, but I think got the best deal on one. My friend went through a divorce and needed a place to keep his 6x12 so I offered up my yard. he thought it was a good idea and even offered to "let" me keep his hydraulic bike lift too. Hey, best of both worlds, a trailer and a lift for nothing.
By the way, stay away from the tile on the floor. it is slick as greased owl poop when wet from any oil type liquid. The sand paint is the way to go.
Another tip, paint the walls white. It will b e twice as bright at night when you are looking for something.

I am in the midst of talking my boss into giving me one of our 6x12 trailers. Looks like it's mine

, but I'll keep you all posted. I was thinking about using outdoor carpet for the floor. Basically the trailer will be used for my busa, and the wifes fzr. No dirtbikes, or anything overly dirty. Any thoughts on the use of outdoor carpet for the flooring?

Good grip, but how easy would it be to clean oil off? Is that stuff slippery when wet?

If its that short pile stuff, it should work great, even comes in different colors. Just make sure you glue it down well.

I got my chocks mounted yesterday. Took a little while making sure all measurements would work and leave room between the walls and the bikes, and between the bikes. Now I just need to get some hardware for my tiedowns. Got some recessed d rings rated at 500lbs each at my local trailer supply. I just hate the though of cutting 2.5" holes in the floor. I have about 4ft in front of the bikes for gear, tools, etc.
