Bring it on, im waiting!
Ill be near you this weekend!

Good luck to you.
I never picked up smoking but I did pick up drinking pretty well.
You can stop anything that you really want to stop, just put your mind to it.
Take it one day at a time.

good job, buddy!

As for me...well, you know. I still haven't stopped yet. ??? Guess I'm in the contemplative stages right now.

Stay strong and kick it!:beerchug:

I don't care what anyone says, you have to want to quit.

I smoked for 12 years, 2 packs a day, sometimes more, one day in the garage last September I just said to myself this is it, last one right here, well quit right there cold turkey, been since sep16. 2009 :beerchug:

Good luck man, if you can quit smokin you can do anything:thumbsup:

Next I have to work on the 25 lbs I gained

Also make a goal for yourself, with the money I saved from not smoking I went out and bought a 08busa :cheerleader:

I did the same simply made up my mind and stopped. It took a week to get over the worst and lets be honest it was difficult.:banghead:

After that I suddenly could move the world. Completed the qualification in one year that I could not complete in 3 years.

That was 30 years ago. It is all a matter of making up your mind and simply doing it.

Gaining any weight John? That's what most people who stop smoking tell me is one of the negative results - now that you aren't poisoning your body, food starts to taste better and your body starts holding weight better.

Hang in there I'm very proud of you!!

I was a smoker for 20 years and started when I was 17. I've been smoke free now since Thanksgiving and hope that I can stick with it. This is the longest I have been smoke free and just trying to take it one day at a time. But as others have said, you have to want to quit...and I did. Hopefully this attempt will do it for good!

Not really, i did gain a few lbs, but however, i have started watching what im eating as well as to when im eating!

It's been over 7 years and I still get the occasional craving for a cigarette. I just don't give into it. I'm pretty sure the cravings will never go away all together. Hang tough John. You are doing great!

Even after 30 years I still get a pang now and then.

I simply tell myself you will not smoke and then the pang goes away.
Its all in the mind.

I would have been dead or very sickly by now if I did not stop 30 years ago.???

Pine

My hip bones used to stick out before I stopped smoking and put some weight on.

You simply watch your calories and go to Gym and build some muscles and you will look much better and be happier with yourself.
